Here's my story: My wife cracked her screen so I bought a replacement. I paid a bit extra wanting to get a better quality screen. Anyway, it worked okay, but the colors were off from the original and she didn't like it. A few weeks later she dropped it in a river while tubing. They eventually found it, but it was under water for some time, so the screen was dead but the phone was still good. This time I bought this screen that was a bit cheaper, and still had great reviews. Switching out the screen was about the same process, but there was one problem, when I tried to transfer over the ear piece speaker, the tiny receiving component for the top center of the three screws popped free from the phone. I tried to super glue it back in, but it likely needed to be soldered back. It held for a few minutes but then popped free from the glue. I still assembled the phone, minus the one screw, and things are working fine, but I don't know what the long term effects will be with the missing screw on the ear piece speaker. I have included pics of the piece that popped free. Once back together I will say I was much happier with the color on this screen as it was much closer to the original screen she had. We've had a few times where the phone freezes up now, and we need to hard reboot it, and that seems to fix it for a while, but it's a new issue since replacing the screen. Not sure if it's something I did or not. So 4-stars since the piece broke free but the colors are great.

1. There is a bracket around the edge of the screen that might not come off with the screen, I had to take mine off separately. 2. If you follow the directions carefully I would skip testing before finishing. It was a lot of work for something that will probably work anyway, and I was afraid I would break the new screen or strip the screws taking it apart a second time. After you move the speaker to the new screen, just skip straight to the blue plastic to line up the glue, and then put it back together. 3 the magnetic screw holder actually tells you what color screw driver you need. 4 use the video from Amazon, the QR code video wasn’t as good. This was the easiest screen replacement that I have ever done, that’s due to quality products and quality directions.
