Lost the original charger somewhere so purchased this one. Yes its just a charger however you need to ensure the type used is a minimum of 17-20 volt DC at a full 1 amp or your Soundlink just won't charge. I tried another one I had that was rated 20 volt at 500 ma and even though plug was same size and polarity, it wouldn't work at all. This one had no problem at all.
