Easy install. Mag gap is the same as stock. It does not add any noticeable length and does not hinder concealed carry. Even with average-sized hands, these grip extensions, which allow a full three-finger grip (rather than two, without), create a high degree of stability for multiple shots and reduce wrist fatigue, as well as reduce the snappiness usually experienced with a compact .40. Highly recommended. This isn't 3D printed; this is a high quality injection-molded part!

DIY Install
Worked great on my early edition M&P Shield 9mm. Allowed a much better grip for my larger hands. Watched several of the videos available on YouTube to make replacement of OEM ends a DIY install.

Better the stock magazine!
Put this on S&W M&P 9mm Shield, regular 7 shot magazine and the 8 shot magazine and it betters the grip on the 7 shot for sure but I like it on both very much. Improved grip ! Easy to put on .

Perfect Fit!
Fits perfectly. The gap is the same gap that comes with the gun as is. So there is not a gap difference by choosing this grip extender. Not difficult to put the magazine into the gun either. The grip is sturdy yet not too rigid to make putting the magazine into the gun difficult. It is a great accessory to have with this compact gun. Push the pin on the bottom of the magazine clip. Pull the old base out slowly and hold onto the black piece underneath the base so the spring does not fly out. Hold the black piece in place and slide the new grip onto the gun. If the spring does fly out put the small end of the spring back inside first, push in till tight and place the black piece over it. Do not force the spring in or you will bend it and ruin the magazine.
