Replacing a Yale lock from the 1960’s
If it lasts as long as the first one I’ll be thrilled! But won’t be around to find out!!

Extra Keys are Impossible to find, UK lock.
The Lock itself is fairly solid. Apparently there is no easy way to have extra keys made. I had a local locksmith cut 5 keys. Just tried them and none of them work….So here’s the only solution I could find as I already installed it. I went on Ebay and purchased a replacement rim lock cylinder with 4 keys. It’s shipping from England.

Gutes Schloss, aber Kopie des Schlüssels ist schwierig
Das Schloss passt nach Angaben.Allerdings beim anfertigen lassen von Reserveschlüsseln stellen sich ein paar Schwierigkeiten. In Deutschland können nur OBI Baumärkte eine Kopie erstellen.

Wirklich gut und leicht einzubauen
Hält was es verspricht. Wer den Schloss vorher kennt oder neu kennenlernt wird damit glücklich sein. Sehr einfach einzubauen und wirklich intuitiv. Türbreite muss mindestens 2,5cm sein.

Robust product good value.
I wanted to add a bit more security to my house but whilst keeping the period front door (only had a simple mortice lock). The lock arrived promptly and seems of high quality. The brass finish is in keeping with my existing door furniture so to is the classic look. The operation is very smooth and easy. I'm no professional but with a 32mm drill bit, hammer and chisel and a screwdriver I was able to install the lock very easily. The instructions are adequate but there are some good youtube videos to follow for a bit more assistance and to gain some confidence before drilling through the door!
