Review: This stuff works ! - I had soft spots and popping in a, one year old, glue down, engineered, hardwood floor. The product worked, as described. Read directions and go slow. Float the container in warm water for 30 minutes before using to loosen it a little. Pour the material into a 20 oz cup (6-8 oz at a time) makes it easier to draw into the syringe. Vacuum all of the saw dust up after you drill your holes, so that it won't clog the needle. The material is thick so you have to really take your time and go slow when you draw it from the cup into the syringe. You wait for the material to catch up to the syringe as you keep pressure during the draw. The directions said you could walk on it immediately after plugging holes but I thought it felt a little soft, so I let it set up for 24 hours. No squeaks at all ! Be aware, you only get 1 quart of material and the syringe is 2 oz. You can really only fill 12-14 holes with one jar. I had to order another to finish my job but it really works and hard to detect the holes.
Review: works great - So far this works great on my floors.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: How do I know how much to buy? I have a fairly large area of several square feet?**
A: I only use it to re-secure boards that have loosened and are creaking/popping as I walk over them. A bottle can work for six or so boards, depending on the size of the air pocket under them.

**Q: I see that it's for engineered hardwood, but has anyone had any luck using this with laminate flooring?**
A: Never heard of it being used on a laminate floor as those are usually not glued down as engineered wood floors. DriTac works great on glued engineered wood floors because the soft spots are surrounded by adhesive and it fills those low spaces in. You probably would not have much luck with it on a laminate as the repair adhesive would tend to flow away from the low spot on a floating laminate floor. Also, you may have issues with repairing the hole drilled in the laminate after you finish injecting the filler adhesive. It could be worth the try as compared to having to pull the laminate flooring up to level the low spot with thin set mortar.

**Q: I have old nailed Hardwood floors (20 years), will this work to eliminate the popping sound in some areas?**
A: That's a tricky question. Really depends on what's causing the popping sound. This product is just liquid glue and it mainly helps get rid of the hollow sounding spots under your wood flooring by leveling out the uneven subflooring (either concrete or wood). For this product you have to drill a small hole and inject it into the dead space with a syringe until the glue starts to come back up thru the hole. So if you think the popping noise is related to that, then it might work. I suspect the popping sound is due to the expansion and contraction of your wood floor that is nailed down. If the install is real tight or if there was some moisture that got in under your floor (causing swelling of the wood) it may cause that sound since it doesn't have the room it needs to move. In that case it probably won't help.

**Q: How long can this be stored for before the glue goes bad?**
A: I’ve kept it stored after opening a bottle up to 6 months in a temp controlled area and then used the remaining glue again.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ works great

So far this works great on my floors.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Make sure you know the difference between a SQUEAK and a LOW CROAK. This does NOT work for LOW CROAKS.
*by J***. on December 16, 2016*

I'll start with mentioning that it's very important to know what KIND of creaking you have in your hardwoods. The kind of creaking determines what's actually wrong: Possibility 1: Is the creak high and squeaky? Then it's more likely to be spacing between your hardwoods and the subfloor. Possibility 2: Is the creak low and croaky? Then it's more likely to be spacing between your subfloor and the joists. Why is this important you wonder? Because the method you use to fix either Possibility 1 or 2 is DIFFERENT! Go figure. If your symptoms are characterized by Possibility 1, then you want the DriTac. If it's Possibility 2, then you want the "Squeek No More" bad boy set: https://smile.amazon.com/Squeeeek-No-More-3232-Hardwood/dp/B00GO86RNQ/. Trust me. I first had no idea of the different possibilities and bought the 32oz beauty called DriTac, pumped the full quart of undoubtedly fantastic sticky, gluey, tacky substance between my engineered hardwoods and the subfloors... aaaaaand the creaking was still there. Lo and behold, I learn there is a DIFFERENCE between SQUEAKY and CROAKY. For the mere fact that I was unable to verify the usefulness of DriTac, I can only judge its effectiveness by the pragmatic procedures and guidelines of its use. It made sense - stuff the empty space with DriTac til it overflows. However, I take 1 star away from this product for not specifying the difference between squeaks and croaks, and for its generic market banner that attempts to brand itself as an all-around fix for ALL the possible causes of noisy hardwoods (clearly, in my case, it did not work because the problem was in the joists). Good luck.
