Hilda and the Stone Forest: Hilda Book 5 (Hildafolk)

Our family is obsessed with Hilda! My three year old is either asking us to read the books or watching the series on Netflix. We wish there were action figures! The characters are admirable and fallible. The setting is mystical and relatable! We can’t get enough. This is his favorite in the series.

All the Hilda books are amazing. The art work is beautiful and the story is fun. Our whole family enjoyed these (two 9 years and parents). There is also a Hilda on Netflix which is fantastic as well.

We found this series on Netflix and then after loving it we did research on the creator and found there were graphic novels first. My 8 year old daughter loves these books and reads them over and over. She likes to draw the characters.

Love these books. Started reading them all with our 4yo. Sometimes they are over his head, but he generally gets the plot and loves Hilda's adventures. This is my personal favorite story so far.

These books are the greatest! I got them for my seven year old daughter, but I love them, as well. Great illustrations, great stories.

Love this series. Hilda is strong, adventurous, imaginative, curious, and kind. Everything I want my kids to see in their heroes.

This series is fantastic! We have all the books and will buy more as soon as they are out. Great stories and awesome illustrations. the hardcover is beautiful, but the paper back also rocks. we love Hilda!

We love, love, love Hilda! And these books are so great. Not just a repeat of the episodes. Definitely a good buy if you are a fan of the show.

The book as an object is beautiful and the story is fun to read, my daughter loves Hilda.

Als mittlerweile relativ großer Luke Peason-Fan habe ich mir "Hilda an the Stone Fores" (englischer Band, Softcover) bestellt und bin hellauf begeistert. Man muss im Gegensatz zu den ersten Hilda-Büchern eine Weiterentwicklung bzw. leichte stilistische Veränderungen der Charaktere und Szenerien bemerken, doch sagt Luke Pearson in Interviews ja selbst, dass ihm seine Entwicklung auffällt. Bildaufteilung, Storyline, das Gesamtkonzept wirkt insgesamt ein wenig chaotischer in diesem Band, bleibt jedoch immer noch künstlerisch verspielt. Inhaltlich hebt Pearson v.a. die Tochter-Mutter-Beziehung hervor. Ein tolles Buch, dass ich jedem nur empfehlen kann! Kinder werden sich an den Zeichnungen und direkten Witzchen erfreuen, ich als Erwachsener muss jedesmal über die ganzen kleinen versteckten Anspielungen grinsen. Ganz klar ein Comicbuch, das man immer wieder aufs Neue durchgehen kann und das nicht lange im Regal stehen hat. Für alle, die fantastische Abenteuer mit einem Schuss kindlicher Naivität mögen eine ganz klare Empfehlung! Großartige Arbeit!

My 8 year old daughter has read all of these now and still goes back and re-reads them again and again. I wish there were more and that there were more cartoonists who wrote cartoons about strong female characters. I cannot praise the author/ illustrator enough. Thank you so much! It was the only books I could get my daughter to read to help inspire her to read more. She usually read them cover to cover in 5-10 mins. I've also really enjoyed reading them and we made sure we read each one before we watched the episodes. I love the style and colours, brilliant story lines and funny characters. We like to do a lot of story telling at home and often bring the characters and ideas in to our stories. Who'd of thought that trolls would hate to have bells tied to their noses or that there was so much paperwork involved in being able to see elves!
