I sent an email to the company asking about this as well. Also, I have not found a cruelty free site which verifies their claim to be cruelty free, so as of now, I personally do not believe they are. I may change my opinion if they satisfactorily respond to my email. **Q: If it is supposed to stop hard water spots. Souldn't you have to add it to the rinse cycle. Otherwis you rinse with hard water and accomplish nothing?** A: I am not the manufacturer and I'm not affiliated with them, either. I don't pretend to understand how it works but it does. I use this in every wash cycle and it leaves them clean with no hard water stains. **Q: We have SUPER soft water, will I need to use lemi-shine?** A: I would think not as Lemi Shine is designed to remove hard water deposits. **Q: What is the difference in this product (12 oz for $11.15) and lemi shine dish detergent booster powder, 12oz, natural citric extract (walmart $3.93)?** A: I haven't had any problems with the booster, but I don't know anything about the Walmart natural citric extract version. Just make sure you use the LemiShine Rinse liquid to put in your rinse section. That helps, too.
