Is sony expecting us to use the nes or snes classic ac adapter?

You can, the one from the NES/SNES will work just fine. PS classic requires 5v/1.0a and the NES/SNES adapter is 5v/1.5a so you're good to go.

Does anyone know if the original DualShock will work with this?

They sell adapters to use Og controllers for the console. Or you can use a ps4 controller or PS3 controller on the console, any wired usb 2.0 controller will work so long as it’s a PlayStation controller. Not sure about 3rd party controllers.

where do i purchase the correct usb ac adapter and how much will it cost?

5v/1.0 amp is the requirement for the AC adapter. Most if not all cell phone chargers within the last 3 years can output two to three times this power, so you can just use a spare one that you may have lying around. Otherwise you can get one from your local store for $5-10.
