The Art Of Bravely Default

From the many artbooks I have, I can safely say the Bravely Default is a superb example of a collectors item, a game companion and behind the scenes look at a beloved game. This book includes numerous sketches, full colour images, character art pieces and other miscellaneous art. It is a hefty book with plenty of pages, a superb jacket design and the images are backed up by snippets of the artists insight. Regardless of if you like collecting wonderful art books, or love the game series - this is an excellent choice at a good price. The second book looking at Bravely Second, is likewise, of excellent quality and highly recommended.

I own both Bravely Default and Second, and 1st game I maxed out everyone's level to 99. It was that fun. Second one I didn't get to beat yet unfortunately. So this artbook came out awhile ago in Japan but for the first time released in North America. The book is hard cover mat feel and all the printing seem to be in glossy high quality. Another great thing is each image has commentaries below to understand artists intent. Definitely a great gift for fans of Bravely series and this art style (also beat Octopath Traveler).

This book is just incredible. As a massive JRPG fan and someone that loves the art styles from JRPGs, I have a lot of art books. A lot of them came from collector's editions, but they were often very small or just not very interesting. They'd either have only 30 - 60 pages or they would only have character art work and that's it. What I want from an art book is variety: character art work, concept art, rough sketches, monster/creature artwork, scene illustrations, LOCATIONS, etc. This book has all of that and more. And another thing it has that I love are artist's notes. It's very interesting seeing the art along with the artist's notes. It helps you slow down and enjoy the book a page at a time, rather than just quickly glancing at the artwork and moving on. And it's all in English too so I can actually understand it! So many art books are only available in Japan and obviously if you can't read Japanese, the artist's notes and all the details are pretty unimportant if you can't understand it. I have been getting into art books a lot more lately and have noticed just how much better the standalone art books are, especially when it's a huge book covering 1 game. I also have an art book for Breath of Fire and Dragon Quest (sold on Amazon as well), but there's so much more variety when you're only working with 1 game. It means you don't have to leave anything out. With the Breath of Fire art book, you'll get mostly character and monster art work and then a page or 2 of location art work, but that's because there's so many games to cover. If you're going to go for an art book and it's big and covers only 1 game, you know it's going to be more interesting. I have only good things to say about this art book. I think it might be my favorite one in my collection so far. It's also a large size so the artwork really has room to shine. And the artwork is absolutely stunning. The art style for the game is very distinct and beautiful and the artstyle really shows off in this book. The hard cover just seals the deal by offering high quality, sturdy material. The book feels great to hold and look through. No loose pages or crappy infrastructure. Companies making art books need to take notes from this book. This is the quintessential art book and a must-have for fans of the Bravely series.

Bravely Default é algo que mesmo eu, que não sou muito fã dos consoles da Nintendo, me fez comprar um 3ds na época. É uma pena que esse jogo não tenha do PlayStation (tive que emular no PC kkkkk). Em relação ao livro, eu já sabia que se tratava de um ótimo conteúdo com muitas artes conceituais! Mais um trabalho incrível do Akihiko Yoshida! Infelizmente o meu veio com alguns amassados na parte de cima, mas é algo que tolero pq sei que é difícil fazer o transporte desse tipo de produto sem nenhum tipo de pequeno dano.

El libro venía en perfectas condiciones. Bien embalado y además en plástico protector que aseguraba evitar cualquier tipo de deterioro. Para los fans de la saga, es un magnífico ejemplar que trae arte muy exclusivo del juego, y precioso para admirar.
