Nestle Nestum Instant Cereal, Wheat & Honey, 10.5 Ounce (Pack of 12)

We have been buying Nestum for generations and when my son was a baby overseas. Could not find it in stores other than the Latina food store but for double the price of what it is on Amazon. Walmart started carrying it in the last 3 years. This Cereal is very easy to prepare. Just beat it in to hot or warm milk. From my experience the milk would need to be a little hotter than warm to get the cereal to dissolve. It thickens as it sits. It is very mildly sweet which is better than the sugar-packed cereals. My kids have been having this Nestum since they were 6 months old and they love it. Even on a cold day, a warm mug of milk with a couple spoon of this Nestum Cereal makes a yummy drink and it's my favorite to have. This is not baby cereal but is meant for any age. Amazon price is the lowest I have seen anywhere and the super saver shipping just can't be beat! Thanks Amazon!

Mi bebé de 1 año disfruta mucho este cereal de trigo con miel. Tiene una textura suave que se mezcla bien con la leche y un sabor agradable que le encanta. Me gusta que sea fácil de preparar y que le aporte energía para el desayuno o la cena. Hasta ahora no le ha causado malestar ni problemas digestivos, lo tolera muy bien. es un producto nutritivo y confiable que he comprado muchas veces comprando.

I haven't had this before, and I chose it because I wanted a warm gruel to eat when I am feeling chilled or I dont want to actually eat (masticate) food. This is where smoothies normally come into play, but I dont want a cold smoothie on a freezing day. So hot cereals and sipping broths are my go to thing. I have been using mushroom yam gruel powder and decided to try this Nestum for something different. I like Nestle products and since it was on sale at time of order, I decided to go for it. Big pack of 12 canisters. Easy to make, just add water. Use as much or as little liquid as needed for your or your kiddo. I like it more like a slurry, but have made it thicker too. It is very smooth no matter what. No chewing required. Has a slight caramel aroma and taste. I can taste the sweetness. It does remind me of honey wheat bread. I like to stir in a little peach, pumpkin, or apple butter. I think a fruit baby food puree would also very very nice. Just on its own is a little blah. Overall, I like it. It will be a while before I get through it all. Not sure if it is a repurchase, but since I saw it very recently at local big box store, I may get it on occasion in a single can form.
