Really worth a try
Dont really write reviews but i thought this maybe will be helpful for other sleep deprived parents. I was very sceptical when i ordered this suit. My daughter is a fussy one and if she is not comfy she will not sleep. Period. Scream the house down and not sleep. She is 6 months and i was still swaddling her. I bought this product with the frame of mind that will be added to the pile of wasted money. How wrong was i?! She loves it. Doesn't quite sleep through the night but wakes up twice and then straight back to sleep. Worth a try peeps. If you are struggling to transition from swaddling try this. You may be pleasantly surprised.

Actually works!
I was slightly skeptical about this after reading so many mixed reviews, but decided to go for it as a good night's sleep is worth any money to me at the moment. Our 4 month old was resisting the swaddle, but if we unswaddled him at night his arms were flailing around and thrashing all night long. This suit is the perfect transition from swaddling. He can still move his arms so he is happy, but they weigh them down so he is very still whilst sleeping. He still wakes up every 2 hours (which he always has done) so it's not a miracle maker, but so much better than a growbag. Highly recommend as a swaddle transition!

Well worth the money
We needed a larger size for my chunky monkey so ordered large even though he was only 3 months. Very good product, helped to transition from swaddle. Only thing I’d like to see different is the care label as to whether this can be tumble dried as it does take a while to dry with it being so thick. If I did it again I’d buy two of these to allow for drying

Real magic!
It has helped my 4 month old daughter (and me!) immeasurably! She still startles a lot and generally doesn't sleep very well but now she drops off the sleep quickly, allows me to put her down without 40 minutes of trickery and trying to slide her off me and then when she startles she just goes straight back to sleep. Just recommended it to all my mummy friends!

Lifesaver for 4month sleep regression
Life saver! My 4month old baby went through waking up every 45mins to only waking for night feeds. He self soothes in this which he wasn't able to do at all. It only took 5mins for him to fall asleep independently and it normally takes 20mins for him to fall asleep on me. I just which they did them for older babies.

Very useful
Used it for my little one...fits nice...though kinda bulky if it's winter and the baby already has lots of clothes on. Fits well and baby sleeps nice in it!

I wouldn't say this is a magic suit, it definitely did not meet expectations for all. Unfortunately it did not work for my little one. I was desperate to try anything, and too expensive. They should offer money back guarantee if doesn't work. Just have to add it to the list of waste of money gone down the drain :(

Let me start by saying I have tried all swaddles out for a better night sleep! I really wanted this one to work but it’s far too small and so hard to get on and off- and my baby isn’t too big- recommended size/ weight. Quite disappointed in this product- if it’s such a great seller where is the larger version (zip all the way through would be a bonus too)

I’ve been blessed with a baby who always slept 8 hrs every night swaddled. Once he hit 3 months old, he started to roll on his side and would move all around the bassinet. We tried the arm out sleep sack but since he could move, his Moro reflex would wake him up constantly in the night and I went from a baby who slept 8 hrs to a baby who woke me up crying every 2 hours or less!! My baby was cranky and I was exhausted. A friend recommended the Merlin suit as a transition from the swaddle. At first I didn’t think it would work. He screamed bloody murder when we put him in it and I immediately was like Nope! That’s not going to work and took it off. I decided I would try it again for a couple naps in the day so that he would get use to it better. I also had a thought that the bassinet may feel too crammed because his arms could not lay out straight like the suit allows. We tried the suit again but this time in his crib so he had a lot of space. He was able to still self soothe in the suit and put himself to sleep no problem. He slept 9 hours straight and we all woke up happy! He was still in the same position on his back when he woke up too. It was such a relief. I do find it quite warm so I only dressed him in a diaper underneath and left his hands and feet exposed for air flow. He seemed comfortable! It was a great transition to get him use to his arms out. Really hoping it continues to work for us and eventually get him comfortable in a sleep sack.

The suit on is hilarious, given how puffy it is. BUT it's been working for naps and bedtime the last week so I'll take it! Our boy still has the moro relfex so sleep sacks aren't working for us right now and he's started almost rolling so we had to stop using his velcro swaddle (even with one arm out). I was worried about how thick/bulky the suit is with heat but he just wears a diaper under and is fine. My only con comment that I have is that it is yet another item to transition out of, but hey, you gotta do what you gotta do and things change daily/weekly.
