It really does protect and help lock in the style, I didnt need hairspray after to hold.... but this iniself does have a hairspray feel and is hard to work through when styling

I really wanted to like this product based on many reviews but it wasn't a fit for me. I am starting to grow my hair longer (past shoulder length) and use heat styling most days. I tried spraying this in my (fine) hair for the first use (probably 4 sprays) and then brushed it through. My hair felt dry and crunchy after styling. I will admit it held curls well! Since then I have tried just spraying it in my hands (2 x) and running my fingers through my hair. Despite this it still has the same effect. I can even see residue in my hair sometimes. It basically feels like high hold hairspray to me. It does smell nice, but the smell doesn't really linger.

Amazon recommended this to me because I was looking at hot rollers. I read the reviews and thought I’d give it a try; although I fully expected this stuff to be a complete waste of my $17. Was I ever shocked after I tried it with the hot rollers. Instead of my hair falling out fairly quickly as it is prone to do, my hair stayed voluminous and curled for 2 days. When I read all the raving in the reviews about the smell, I wondered why the company bothered as I usually spray my perfume on my hair after washing and thought I’d probably be annoyed by the smell. Again I was wrong. The smell is pleasing to me. There’s no reason for me to spray perfume in my hair any longer after washing. I will be buying this stuff repeatedly as I’m thrilled to finally be able to have great hair for longer than an hour or two. I highly recommend you try it because I think you will be as amazed as I if you have hair that tends to fall after a short time.

I've used this product with my hot rollers for many years. It was originally recommended to me by my beautician, who liked it mainly because it actually dried while the rollers were cooling in the hair. She said some products stayed wet for much longer and were frustrating to use. I've been pleased to find it available on Amazon since I moved to a different state. It helps the rollers set the curls in my between-chin-and-shoulder-length hair, and seems to hold well for at least 2 to 3 days, depending on the humidity outside. I wash and set my hair twice a week, so this bottle lasts me for several months. I've been very pleased with the results this product produces.

This product is a game changer for me! It won't be for everyone though. My hair has been thinning over the last 10+ years and I've tried a plethora of different products to help thicken, volumize my hair. At its current state, my hair cannot handle any oil based heat protector. I tried one highly recommended brand and it made my already fine and thin hair so limp and lifeless. So then I decided to try Biolage heat protectant spray as I was intrigued that it also volumizes. It worked wonders for me! It created texture, volume and a thicker feel. I know most people want a soft feel but not me as soft equals lifeless for my hair so I'll take the rougher texture to get the volume. The spray is a bit sticky so beware of that but for those with hair like mine, it really helped!

Definitely does protect and increase volume and hold. Don’t know why they say it’s unscented though. It does have a scent. Smells like all the other products in that line.

It makes the hair to feel dry like it feels after foam. First, I didn’t like it at all, then I started using it only if I need some special hair preparation for the event. I don’t like to use it every day, I still need to get another hair protector now…(

So far, so good. I switched from the Nivea brand I was using because my eyes are getting so sensitive to everything now at 52. Bottle leaked a bit.
