At first, I was super excited about the simplicity of this diffuser, even though it had to be plugged it to be in use. I liked the choices of lighting colors- a warm yellow, a cool white, and a medium blue- and it's simple to hit the lighting button to rotate between the color choices or to turn the light off. I loaded it up with a scent I was trying for the 1st time and plugged it in. It immediately started diffusing and I thought that was that. So easy to use! It also comes with an additional tube and a lid for the oil jar in case you need to disassemble it (never turn these on their sides when there's oil in it!). But then I turned the quick start guide over. Darn it, there's an app involved. The app has 1.4 stars, by the way. I used the QR code to take me to the page where I chose which app I needed (apple or android) and proceeded to download it. There was a quick tutorial once I had created a login. The app allows you to set a schedule and control the lighting, including a slider along the light spectrum where you can choose a custom color. As far as additional features go, that's it. So, unless you want your diffuser on a schedule or a custom light color, you don't really need the app. Finally, re: the app, this diffuser is supposed to be powerful enough to handle 1,000 square feet, so you would think the bluetooth connectivity would at least be that, but it is not. I was probably 10 linear feet away when it disconnected. The diffuser itself works fine. I think the price is high regardless of whether or not you would use the app. The lighting and the ability to cover that much square footage are nice features but I just don't see those being enough to justify the price. If given "X" amount of money to spend on a diffuser and oil, the oil is where I would choose to invest the bulk of my money because the scent/aroma is the key to olfactory happiness!

The process of linking the diffuser through the aroma app is difficult with no instructions on some steps. Other than that I love the product.

This waterless scent diffuser comes without any included oil, so you will need to invest in some first to try it straight out of the box. The diffuser is shaped kind of like the body of a rocket ship, and comes in neutral colors that should fit in with most decor. I found that once I obtained oil, the diffuser was easy to use. The unit does come with an empty 60 ml bottle to put the oil in, and this is easily secured into the unit. The diffuser has an on-off button and several options for lighting, with buttons on the lower part of the unit. There is also an app, which has some options for control, which is good if you want to set specific hours of use, intensity, and color. The app seems to have limited connectivity and some glitches, but I understand that it would be messy to try to put control buttons for timing on the unit. The diffuser is intended for a large area, and it does create some heavy scent in a smaller space, even at the lower intensities. The manual is helpful, and gives tips and suggestions for settings in different sized spaces. The diffuser appears well made and sturdy, and is described as being constructed with durable engineered polymer, although resin and ceramic are also listed in the online specifications. Overall, I am happy with the function of the diffuser and its ability to disperse scents over a wide area. The large bottle holds a lot of oil and should last a long time. The downside to that is that if you fill the bottle, you will be limited to one scent for quite some time. The price is somewhat high for the product provided, but seems in line with other similar high-end diffusers.

Have not used it yet - not sure how to activate the device. I have bad eyesight and the instructions are so small I'll have to order a super-powered magnifying glass!

I was first introduced to waterless scent diffusers when my husband bought me one for my birthday this year. Since then I have steadily been building my diffuser scent collection. I was ready to upgrade from the small portable waterless diffuser my husband bought me, so I ordered the Aroma Tech Ambiance Scent Diffuser. It is impressive. It comes carefully and elegantly packaged in a box with a hinged lid with magnetic closure. Inside it is perfectly cushioned by a cut to shape soft foam. The presentation is simply simple and elegant and would be perfect for gift giving. The scent diffuser itself is similarly elegant. It is not too heavy but has a nice weight to it. It comes with a large bottle to fill with my favorite scent, plus an extra tube, a cord with usb c on both sides, a wall plug block, a lid for the bottle in case I use a different bottle and want to keep a scent inside the bottle that comes with it and an info card with qr codes for the user manual and the app. The function is super easy right out of the box. Pull the top off, unscrew the bottle, fill it with my favorite scent, screw it back on, plug it in, push the power button, and let it diffuse. There is one button to turn it off and on and another button to change the lights. The magic comes with the app. In the app I can set timers and intensity and change the colors and probably more that I haven’t delved into yet. The app, much like the packaging is simple and elegant. The only complaint I can eve try to come up with is that they did not include any fragrance oils to try out in the diffuser. The Aromatech scent diffuser price at the time of this review is reasonable for the quality, design and features. I am truly enjoying it, so I am rating it 5 stars.

Stunning Aesthetic That Looks Like Decor This is a very fancy and nicely built unit. The overall aesthetic is a huge part of the appeal because instead of looking like a typical clunky diffuser, it ends up looking like a premium decor piece on your shelf. The LED lighting is incredibly subtle but it adds a really nice bit of flair and atmosphere to the room when it is running. ​ Easy to Clean and Runs for a Long Time The unit is very easy to operate right out of the box. It features a high quality glass vial inside, which makes it super easy to clean out and swap your scents whenever you want a change. Another massive plus is the capacity. The vial is so big that the machine can operate for a very long time without needing any maintenance or constant oil refills. ​ Premium Performance but Mind the Plastic The only minor critique is the material choice considering the price point. It is a very expensive piece, so I honestly would have liked the exterior to be made of metal instead of plastic. That being said, I can understand why such an intricate, flowing form factor would require plastic to achieve this specific design. It still feels very solid and looks incredible despite that. ​Verdict Overall, this waterless diffuser is a fantastic buy if you want a luxury scent machine that doubles as a piece of art. It functions beautifully, requires very little upkeep, and fills the space with an amazing aroma. Just keep the plastic build in mind if you are expecting heavy metal hardware for the premium price tag.
