3ミリの板を挟むとギヤが空回りします。 板を厚くすると歯車が離れていく設計で物理的に3ミリの板を曲げるのは不可能です。

1mm厚のステンレスパンチングメタルを30mmに丸めようとしましたが最後までは硬くて34mmぐらいでギブアップしました。 手だけでは絶対にここまで曲げられないので御の字で、後は叩いて丸めました。 このφより大きければ確実に丸められます。
