Miracle Treatment
I’ll start with saying this product is absolutely amazing! I usually get my hair chemically straightened in a salon (the Japanese straightening not a Brazilian blowout- I think those are horrible for your hair-it just dried mine out & created a frizzy disaster). This service generally costs me $1000+ last time being about $1300. My hair is VERY long (37in), about half way down my bum and EXTREMELY thick, wavy with some ringlets & depending on it’s mood, frizzy. With that being said- my hair is also very healthy and I try to take good care of it; doing masks once a week, deep conditioning it every time I wash (you can do this by just leaving your regular conditioner in for at least 10-15min). I regularly do keratin treatments & use Pureology shampoo & conditioner along with their other products & mix in Olaplex hair perfect No.3 once-twice a week. Having a love/hate relationship with this current length, taming it was a necessity making it at least manageable. If you've ever had your hair chemically straightened you know they price by length and last time I went my hair was about half way down my back so with it being this long I dreaded to think of how much they’d charge now. I began the unlikely search for an alternative to the salon with my hopes set at something that would possibly give me a slightly similar result or at least calm it down. Upon finding this product I saw other reviews that looked promising even though none of the hair types in the photos posted matched my wild locks, still, I decided to take a chance. So stoked I did. It beyond exceeded my expectations. Today was the first day I washed the product out of my hair after nearly four days instead of just the suggested three and my hair dried exactly as straight as it would have from an overpriced treatment (natural dry as well no blow dryer etc). The only thing the instructions don’t have, is, each time I got mine done at the salon, the dresser would do a painstakingly longgg perfect straighten; doing hair strips that were about the width of a nickel. It’s extremely important to have your hair this finely straightened because that’s the “standard” you're setting for the product (I know that’s not very technical but it’s gets the point across lol). My hair feels amazing- it didn’t dry it out, didn’t cause any to fall out (which was a huge concern of mine) in short it did absolutely no damage just worked wonders. For perspective on the amount of product, you know how long my hair is, (bare with me here) I don’t have dainty hands by any means I can almost palm a basketball lol and it takes two large palm fulls of shampoo and conditioner each time I wash my hair. The bottles in this product are a good size, but I was still skeptical if I should have gotten two but one box worked just fine and there was JUST enough of the keratin straightening product to have my hair perfectly saturated. So to those with shorter hair you’ll really be getting your dollars worth gettin two treatments (maybe more) out of this. Now let’s see how long it lasts, either way I’m happy. I will absolutely be using this method from here on out. -Follow up: it’s now been nearly two months since I used this product; my hair has a little wave back to it but for the most part is still very straight and silky smooth. Happy customer. Absolutely recommend. Also to those who are have skin irritation etc... like with anything you use on your skin- check the ingredients label and for the love of god do a small test patch on your skin!

FINALLY A HAIR PRODUCT THAT WORKS! (Sorry for shouting, it REALLY works!)
The closest to a life-changing hair product as I have ever found, and I have tried too many to count, wasted hundreds, probably thousands, of dollars. I saw something about a keratin treatment on pinterest and looked this up on amazon. Checked out reviews, figured even if it didnt work, which I kind of expected, it was at least a minor investment, and I wouldnt have to waste any more time wondering if this one did work.... It worked soooooo well! I am caucasian with thick, wavy, not smooth, frizzy, unmanagable, hard to dry, hard to style hair. Air drying leaves me with frizz, my waves are frizzy and irregular, I have tried every product to enhance waves/reduce frizz, all attempts leave me looking like I just escaped from an institution. There is no just blow drying to style it, I cannot hold enough tension with a brush to smooth it, blow drying dries my hair, but it looks like a straw broom. So after blow drying, I have to heat style to smooth, with either a flat iron, curling iron, or instyler (highly recommend the instyler, by the way). So I went through the process of applying and ironing repeatedly. I found the initial application of the product to have the worst of the fumes, rather than the ironing portion. Waited three miserable days before washing, reironing my hair each day as kinks develop in my hair overnight. I say the days were miserable because the solution leaves a waxy coating on the hair. My hair felt dirty. Friends kindly said it did look fine, however. It was at least passable in public. Finally, the happy moment of being able to wash it out... And my hair was glossy! I could air dry it! My wave pattern is still....not good, but I could go out in public with NO heat styling at all. I could just blow dry it, and not have to heat style with anything else. This is major for me. So much less time consuming. It also dries faster. For the first couple days I almost felt it was too glossy (as if that is possible). The initial glossiness toned down to normal and infinitely more manageable, normal texture. Despite the excessive passes with a flat iron, I have not found this product to actually straighten my waves, which are intact in their original wave pattern, oh well. I dont know if this is just due to my hairs thickness. Other people report straightening. For me it seems to fill in the porosity of the hair structure, making it smoother, shinier, easier to dry, faster to style, cutting so much time from my routine and making things like swimming in public and getting my hair wet something I can actually do! And not feel horrified. This is the set I initially bought, there was enough of the keratin treatment for only one treatment with a little left over. After this I bought a bulk size, with enough for probably several years of treatments for about $100. I have repeated treatments two more times so far, and will probably keep using this stuff forever. There is a slow washing away of the keratin, and after about 3 months I am ready to go through the process again. I did try not waiting the three days once, waiting instead just one day to wash it out, but I do think the effectiveness was lessened. I have plenty of clarifying shampoo from the original kit, but I will use dishsoap when I run out. It seems the more porous, damaged, and roughed up your hair is, the better the keratin is able to bond to it. I have never used the shampoo/conditioner from this kit, but I definitely use sulfate free shampoo to slow the washing off of the keratin. I will be doing another treatment this monday, and will stay home as much as possible during the three day wait till shampoo time. I get excited just thinking about the fresh shine and smoothness! I wont go into the questionable health issues regarding the treatment. But I would as with all things recommend educating yourself before making a decision for yourself in that regard. I hope my somewhat lengthy review helps someone! I appreciated the reviews left by everyone else when making the decision to purchase this!

Works Better than Salon Treatment AND Saves So Much $$$
In May, I spent $440 with tip for my stylist to do a full keratin on my hair for the summer. I think she forgot a step because when I washed it 3 days later, it looked like my hair had never had the treatment. It remained a frizzy, curly mess that I had to repeatedly flat iron. After 2 weeks, I went back to her and told her I didn't think it had worked or maybe she forgot to do something, and asked if she could re-do it. She wanted to charge me again! After another few weeks, I repeated my request and she offered to do my bangs for free. I was livid! I could fly to Europe for $440, and I just dropped that much on a hair treatment for nothing??? Then I thought, "Can I do this at home, just like I can do my color at home?" I googled "keratin treatments at home" and found an article that listed the 5 best. This was listed as #1. I read the reviews, looked at the pictures, and decided to try it. The result? I love this product! I read all the instructions, watched the video on the MK website, and then went for it. Including doing the test strand, the whole process took me about 2 hours. The smell is very nice -- like coconut -- and I kept a small floor fan going in my pretty large bathroom so that the fumes didn't get to me, but there really weren't any strong fumes to deal with. I was able to do the treatment by myself with no problems (just used a mirror to make sure I was getting the back of my hair fully), and made sure my flatiron was at 450 degrees and went over each small strand 5-10 times until there was no "steam" coming off of my hair and the keratin was sealed in. I waited 3 days before washing, and my hair looks better than when I've had a keratin treatment done in the salon professionally! I blew it dry and could just leave the house like that, it was so silky smooth. After a salon treatment, when I blow it dry, it usually looks rough and I have to flat iron it; then it lasts a few days without any further need. But with THIS treatment, I didn't even have to do that! Just blow dry and comb, and it's beautiful! And it lasts that way until the next shampoo, no need for flat iron touchups in between. I even have enough left that I could do my entire head again, or just keep touching up my bangs over the winter. Which means for me, one treatment costs $19! Why would I EVER go to the salon again for this??? (Note: my hair is fine and at shoulder length. If you have thick hair or long hair, you will probably use the entire bottle for one treatment. But still a huge savings to you!!!) Now, I don't know how long it will last because I only just did it a few weeks ago. When I've done it in the salon before (the times that the keratin worked), it lasted about 4 months. If this lasts even 2 or 3 months, it will be worth it! The package says it will last 3-7 months, so I expect it to at least get me through to the fall, which I'd be very happy with. Keratin is my way of dealing with the summer humidity in DC (and if you've ever been here, you KNOW the humidity is brutal)! Thank you, Moroccan Keratin! You are a life and wallet saver!!!

Salon Quality without the High Price
Top 10 things to know: 1. Make sure you buy enough product to cover entire head of hair. The bottles are travel size/4 oz which will be enough for most people, but if you have a lot of hair or really long, thick hair you may need more. (I have bob length hair, but it is thick/I have a lot of hair and I had enough with 1 bottle). 2. Make sure you have or buy the other tools you will need such as gloves, brush, fine comb, clips, smock, etc. I purchased this one: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08B4FWBKB/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 3. Plan to do this over a long weekend or vacation if you can. The product is fairly stinky (normal) and your hair will feel a bit yuck so you may not want to go out. I wore a hat which you aren’t supposed to do, but it was fine for me. 4. This will straighten and smooth your hair. Keep this in mind If you won’t want to lose your curl. ( I don’t know how straight it will get super curly, kinky or heavy textured hair). Also, a true representative picture of how your hair will look after is one that is taken after the 3 days and first washed and quick dried without any flat ironing or styling. (All hair looks shinier and straighter after a flat iron or dryer styling, regardless of keratin treatment.). For me, it reduces the volume significantly (which is a great thing!); cuts the detangling and drying time in half and reduces the frizz, but I still have to flat iron it to really smooth it and get shine). 5. If you have damaged, bleach hair, this will help but can’t “fix” it. You will notice a difference between the virgin hair and the bleached hair in terms of smoothness. 6. Use 1-2 fans while applying product and open all windows. You will need this especially when you apply product near your face. I personally wouldn’t use this if I was pregnant or had a baby due to the fumes. 7. Resist the urge to wash your hair for 3 days. You really need to leave it on this long to get full benefit. Flat iron your hair at least once a day during this time after a shower or whenever it may get damp. 8. Do not use styling products if you can as it will break down the keratin. Use sulfate free and silicone free products. 9. Wash your hair as infrequently as you can. (This goes for everyone regardless of keratin). 10. I will update this after a few weeks to advise how long it lasts, but as someone who used to spend $300 to get these treatments, this is well worth it and works about as well. The extra money you pay your stylist is for his/her time, plus mark up of product and a better application from a professional but this is well worth it, IF IT LASTS, which is TBD right now, but overall I am pleased.

Beware- do your research and know the risks first.
I did my research first, but not enough. I never leave reviews, so please heed this warning: Any kind of keratin treatment (even professional salon blowouts) can cause hair loss to any type of hair. There are now more studies about this than there have been before, and, had I known this, I would have taken that into consideration before deciding to do this. Keratin makes hair softer and more manageable, but with that it will also be easier to break, even from the root. (Especially from the root as the treatment can traumatize it). I did my treatment May 27th 2021 and since then, have lost nearly half of my previous volume, root to tip. My hair is noticeably thinner with visible scalp in multiple places. I could tell this was happening because my hair has always been fairly thick and unruly and only started shedding so bad after the treatment. So I already suspected it was to blame. But because my hair was also so long, I didn't notice it was THIS bad until a recent cut, prompting me to do more research. Thankfully, keratin related hair loss isn't permanent, but it can take at least a year for hair to start to bounce back. PLEASE do your research THOROUGHLY before committing. This could happen to anyone, of any hair type, with ANY treatment of this kind. The FDA warns that just because a product says it's formaldehyde free, that's not always accurate. Some products flat out lie, while others use chemicals that will turn into formaldehyde when heated. And beware of any product that lists "methylene glycol" instead. Methylene glycol literally IS formaldehyde, so don't be fooled by that either. The resulting smooth, silky hair was nice for about a month, but was it really worth what I'm going through now? Absolutely not. This won't happen to everyone who gets keratin treatments, but there's no way to know if you're going to be one of them until it's too late. Be aware of that risk. Learn from my mistakes and proceed with caution.

Does job but terrible smell
So I did this treatment around mid Feb and it is now April 3 and I still have mixed feelings about it. My hair is mostly type 3c with some 3b areas. It is prone to frizz and dryness and quite fine but after doing this not so much at all. After the first wash, my hair was completely straight. It air dried in about an hour. It was soft, mostly frizz free so I added a bit of oil. I wash it around every 3 or 4 days sometimes I might go longer but while some curls have come back it is nowhere near as curly as my hair was originally. I like that it only takes me 20 minutes to straighten when it used to take me up to 2 or 3 hours before. While I love how my hair is now, my hesitation on doing it again comes from the application. The other reviews aren’t kidding when they say this stinks. I followed the instructions I was sent, I wore gloves but I was not prepared for the smell. As soon as I started applying, my eyes were tearing up and I was coughing. Mind you, my windows and door were upon and I even had a fan blowing the air out. This is not meant to be done by yourself so get someone to help. I missed spots in the back that weren’t straight at all so take your time if you do it on your own. Another thing, I didn’t like was that every time my hair gets wet it stinks of chemicals like when I was first applying it. It isn’t as strong now but something else to keep in mind.

It works!
I’ve been paying over $200 for a Brazilian blowout, every 6 months. I figured I would take a chance on this after reading the reviews. I am SO HAPPY I did. The treatment works! It was easy to use, didn’t have an overpowering smell and made my hair so soft. About five days after I did the treatment, it was pouring rain. Normally my hair would frizz up and I end up looking like a poodle. Not this time. My hair stayed straight and no frizz. Wonderful product!

Don't wait - Order now!
Okay... I was very skeptical. VERY. I have had Keratin treatments at the salon before. First time I paid $350, second time $250 and the past two times $150. Couple that with a tip and you can round it up another $50. And my stylist WORKS for that money - this treatment takes about 3 hours in a salon (my hair is to my mid back) and I get why it is so expensive. Well...for $39, I didn't expect much from this product. I will admit that it took me ALONE a full 4.5 hours to accomplish what my stylist did in 3, BUT THE RESULTS WERE MAGNIFICENT! My hair is typically poodle curly on a hot humid Florida day, no matter what I do to try to tame it. Most seasons I just let it do it's thing... oh well.... it is what it is.... Well, those days are GONE! After I painstakingly followed the directions, watched a few YouTube videos, I took a deep breath and dug in and just started the process. Some of the things you WILL NEED: a rat tail comb, an application brush, a shallow bowl for the product and a plastic drape for your shoulders. Be warned: there IS a very strong smell from the formaldehyde and you will either need to have several fans blowing the smell away from you or you need to do it outdoors and hope for a strong breeze. You don't want the product to actually touch your scalp - it will burn (I know this from experience) and you will have a scab when its all said and done. The end result (wash hair, dry hair, put in treatment, wait 20 minutes, dry hair, flat iron hair, wait 3 days, wash hair) was nothing but phenomenal. My hair is smooth and sleek, the kinky curls are gone! My hair dries smooth and needs just a little touch up with a flat iron or large barrel curling iron. In fact, 1 month after I did the treatment, I confessed to my stylist what I had done - she was in amazement and made me promise NOT to share this information under penalty of murder! She had her other stylists come over and check my hair for damage - and there was none! I will say that if you color your hair, my stylist recommends that you do the treatment 1 week AFTER you have had your hair colored. The treatment can lighten some color, but it also seals color in so it is less likely to fade. I did my treatment in early June and I just ordered another bottle of the treatment - even though you will have enough of the clarifying shampoo left from this set, you will run out of the non-sulfate shampoo and conditioner. It is only a few dollars more for this complete set, so it is just worth it to get whole set when you reorder. One last thing - I was freaked out before I started because I thought I ordered the wrong strength. I called the seller (did not have to email and wait forever for a reply), left a message and he texted confirmation of the call and called me back within the hour and answered all of my questions - so I can also recommend this seller as well.
