I spent three years blowing mucho dinero every month on some diesel probiotics. Renew Life 150 billion count, $60 a pop... you get the idea. Low FODMAP diet did wonders for me, a pro-kinetic (low-dose naltrexone) did wonders for me.... but I was still having SIBO issues. What gives? Well, it turns out most people with a raging case of SIBO should actually be AVOIDING lacto-based probiotics. For most people, yes, they're adding good strains to the gut microbiome. In SIBO, though, they're essentially just adding to the overgrowth. Gas on the fire. No bueno. Had a MASSIVE improvement in symptoms within a few days of switching to this probiotic (well, technically yeast) strain. My symptoms have always manifested as IBS-D. It's taken a long time, but I feel I'm finally past it. This probiotic was the missing piece. And since I've now tried both, I can say that Biotics brand is better than Florastor, cheaper than Florastor and without all the sketchy added ingredient Florastor has.

I have been using this probiotic for 10+ years now. My naturopath recommended it after I needed to take a powerful round of antibiotics. This fixed my system right up. I use it right after every round of antibiotics and after menstruation to get my flora in good working order again. It is like this strain provides the right conditions for other strains to survive.
