As far as I know it is a direct copy. The construction is a little flimsy and I stripped the bolt hole that sets the angle within a few times of using it. Now the angle guide rod won’t lock into place and it’s basically a throw away now. But, I did get an impressive edge on a pocket knife so I know the system (the REAL system) works well enough to pony up the cash for it. I’ll be tossing this one and buy8ng the Edge Pro as soon as I can bring myself to drop the coin on it. I know it will be worth it. Just wish I hadn’t wasted forty bucks on this one. ### ⭐ If you are thinking of buying this product, dont. *by W***N on Reviewed in the United States on July 17, 2018* This sharpener is hot garbage. The suction base does not hold a seal; I tried it on wood, plastic and clean glass but it still pops loose after about 30 seconds.The clamp made to hold the blade still does not apply even half enough pressure to allow sharpening.
