Chamberlain KLIK5U-SS Universal Garage Door Remote, Silver - Quantity 1

This universal remote was easy to program. It works just as well as the other remotes I have. I'm actually using this one inside my house, as it is convenient to open and close the garage door from inside. It works just fine, even though the signal has to travel through a couple of walls. I'm so glad I bought this. For reference, I have a Chamberlain garage door opener from 2009. It has the purple "learn" button inside, and there was no problem with the programming at all.

Great price, and it works great! I use this currently on a Lift Master brand door, and had no issues initially connecting the clicker to the box. I will suggest though that it is helpful having someone assist you in the set-up of connecting and testing the clicker with your garage door. It's easier for someone to be on a ladder to access the door box, while the other programs the clicker; that way if the syncing process fails the first attempt, you aren't going up and down the ladder several times. I have been using the clicker for about 4-5 weeks now, and have had no issues. The clicker has fantastic "reach" to the door, and I can open it before I am even in the driveway. I am very satisfied with it, and recommend it to anyone.

I have am older DIP Craftsmen garage door opener. I'm sure this thing is super easy for programmable openers, but if you don't have one of those... Be patient, it can work. You'll habd to download their extended user manual for DIP openers. Both the opener and this remote have to bd set to the same combination. If you have a 3 position DIP like me you will need to change the settings on your opener first to all - or +, no middle position on this remote and the first position on your opener must be -. The other thing not included in the guide is that the pins on the remote are - toward the outer edge and + toward the inside of the remote. Once you get the positions set for both then it is pretty straight forward with programming. Just keep clicking the button until something happens with the opener...

I got this because I needed another opener for our 2 garage doors. Programming was simple, and I was able to add both garage doors 1 to each button. The range is okay but not great like the original clickers I got with my garage door openers. Those are almost instant when I push, and can work very far away. This clicker takes a few seconds to activate garage door. I can usally open/close maybe a house down....so range is good but not great. The overall size is very nice and fits well on visor. My only negative is the overall build quality...it feels a touch cheap to me. I hope it will hold up overtime with multiple pushing of the buttons. But so far since I have had it been working well.

The only negative thing I could say about it was that there is no instructions in the booklet that comes in the box about how to install it on older garage door models that have dip switches and no smart button. It tells you in the instructions to go and find the instructions on the website, however, I had some difficulty finding the instructions on the website and had to look on other websites and youtube videos on how to install it that way. But it was super easy and worked the first time I would definately reccomend this to someone. The price is also a good value for your money.

This universal remote is hands down way better than the universal remote that came with our Chamberlain garage opener. Our original openers did not work unless you were directly in front of the door and pointing the remote at the receiver. With this remote, I can be at the end of my driveway, and it will open the door flawlessly every time. I'm seriously impressed.

Purchased 2 of these as they are supposed to work with different frequencies and security types to operate garage doors. I have 2 garage doors one from 2010 and one from 2015 and have they have different remote controls. One of the garage doors has been a little hard to open with the original remote. I chnged batteries in the original remote but still have to be within 10 feet of the door on the outside to get it to open. Both of the new remotes are even worse for distance to open the door. I actually have to be inside the garage and with in 4 feet of the opener to open or close the door. I tried my second door where the original remote works from 40 feet from the door on the outside. To my surprise this these remotes again did not work if they are more than about 4-5 feet from the opener. So again i gad to be inside the garage to get them to work. If I could give no stars I would These are being returned.

The seller sent this to me very quickly and before the expected arrival date, they also packaged it very securely and protected it in bubble wrapping, which I really appreciated. The packaging was new and in perfect condition as well as the garage door remote. The remote itself has a battery already in it and was very easy to program the remote to a chamberlain garage door opener (that was installed in the early 2000's, so an older model garage door opener too) , the instructions are simple too and clear. It took me less than 5 minutes to have it programmed and working. The seller really took the time and care into getting it to me and having a good quality product.

Es un control remoto muy práctico, su tamaño es ideal para el auto o traer en el bolsillo, acabados de buena calidad por el precio, diseño muy distinto a los clásicos (ladrillos) controles rectangulares. Increíblemente fácil de programar, en mi caso con un receptor Liftmaster Star 1000.

Es un poco mas grande de lo que pensé pero fue fácil parearlo y funciona muy bien. Tiene muy buen rango de alcance!

Me fue un poco difícil programarlo al principio porque no seguí bien las indicaciones; en vez de fijarme en el color de la luz led del motor, me estaba fijando en el color de la luz de mi control. Una vez resuelto esto fue muy sencillo. Mi control anterior solo trae 9 swichs para programarlo y este control trae 12 swichs (supongo para modelos más recientes). Lo programe con los 9 primeros swichs del control nuevo y funcionó. Sobre este tema no vienen indicaciones en el instructivo. Actualización: El motor anterior era como del 2008 y funcionaba perfecto. Lo acaban de cambiar por un modelo 2019 y sigue funcionando igual, el gran detalle, la configuración. Consejo para los motores de antena morada (315 Mhz) que se tienen que programar con el control de pared: Primero configura tu control como dice su manual para que emita la señal en Mhz a la que trabaja tu motor, verás como parpadea el foco de tu motor porque recibe la frecuencia correcta pero no está configurado (reconocido) por tu motor. Una vez configurado esto, ahora sí configura el control con tu motor segun las indicaciones del manual que trae tu motor. No es difícil aunque algo enredado
