I’m always a bit dubious about solar powered lights; perhaps its the many times that I’ve bought something solar powered to find its only useful as a cheaply made Chinese paper weight, or the fact that the sun isn’t always out in England but I was pleasantly surprised. These lights actually work as advertised and look really quite good when doing it. The flickering effect is one of the more realistic versions that I’ve seen. I bought these during the prime day event so paid a good price however if I ever need more, I would happily pay a bit extra for the quality. On quality, its not all good. The top of the lights are great (lamp, shade and solar panel) however the main stem and joints are mediocre. They work but the fittings are either too tight or too lose. For example, there is a small channel in one piece which corresponds to a piece of plastic in the other, when you line them up and fit them together the piece still has a small amount of play in it. This wouldn’t be a problem if they go in the ground but mine are wall mounted on gazebo legs so any play is very noticeable as being off cantered to the post. This isn’t a difficult fix, a quick bit of super glue and they are now firm but something to be mindful off. Also the screws are of terrible quality, I swapped them out for better versions. Now everything is up they look great.

Great quality solar lights and look absolutely beautiful when they come on at night. They look like real flames and fill the garden with tranquility. Really beautiful. I highly recommend them. You won't be disappointed. I have many in my back garden and I will definitely buy more.

I have seen a number of these types of lamps sold in garden centres this year, and on the whole I have been unimpressed when I tested them - although on occasion the staff also seemed dubious about my methodology of opening a box and taking the lamp somewhere darker to see the effect! The problem is, to get a really realistic effect, you need lots of LED's. So, when I saw these (96 LED's) I thought I would try them out. Yes, they have lots of positive reviews, but I have discovered that is not always a good measure! Setting them up is simple. There is the lamp and 3 pieces to make the pole for the lamp to go in the ground. I would recommend using the pole on its own or some other implement to make the hole before you attach the lamp section as pushing down on solar panels (they are on the top of the lamp) is not a good idea if you want them to continue working! There is a push switch to turn the lamps on and off, although they won't come on until the light is below a set level. When darkness falls, (which at time of writing is blinkin' late as it is June!) they give off a bright and surprisingly realistic flame light which just looks good. Just remember, these are effectively £11.50 each, which means they are not expensive in real terms and are not the most robust things. The plastic is not the strongest and I doubt the internal batteries will have a huge lifespan, but they are fully waterproof and work extremely well. We have 4 of them now and will probably get a few more for other areas. I cannot comment on how good the other models that use less LEDs are, but I doubt the effect will be quite as good as this. Overall I think they are outstanding, especially for the price and highly recommend them, as long as you are sensible with your expectations. Thanks for reading and I hope this was useful.

They are nice, more like a light that runs from the bottom of the bulb up to the top and then flickers slightly. If you want it to look like a candle then I am sure you will be happy, I was looking for more of a torch flame but actually they are really pretty. The brackets to hold the lanterns are a bit odd as the torch can only go in one way and it looks a bit strange as I wanted the swirly pattern to face the front but it doesn't, its on an angle and both plastic tubes that hold the torch split as soon as we placed the torch in them so now wall mounting isn't an option and will have to go in the border. Overall though, they are very nice to look at in the evening.

I am SO pleased with these beautiful lights that I just had to review them. I’ve had them for some weeks now and they are still going, even through the torrential rain and lack of sunlight during the day. The flame effect looks so realistic that I make a point of gazing out my kitchen window at them, just as the light is fading and they spring into action. Admittedly, they don’t last long this time of year, because of the lack of natural sunlight, however, prior to this and during the summer, they lasted for hours and made my garden look absolutely stunning. Initially, I bought a set of 2, but was so pleased with them that I ordered 2 more the following day - both sets arrived the same day of ordering. I am so happy with these lights and would not hesitate to order more in the future.

Le produit lui-même est très bien présenté et son effet nocturne est spectaculaire. Les bricoleurs très avertis apprendront avec intérêt qu'il est relativement facile de récupérer les éléments électriques (cylindre blanc contenant les LED et la batterie, cellule photovoltaïque et bouton marche/arrêt) pour les installer dans une lanterne en bois. Le rendu est tout à fait étonnant.

Sehr gut👍 Gestern Morgen kamen die Leuchten an. Ich habe diese direkt auf meinem Balkon montiert und war nach Sonnentuntergang echt beeindruckt von von der Leuchtstärke und der "Flammen"-Optik👍 Die Leuchten sind zwar aus Plastik, machen aber dennoch einen wertigen und stabilen Optik. Auch der Aufbau gestaltete sich sehr einfach, was für jemanden wie mich, der Bedienungsanleitungen am liebsten ingnoriert😅, auch nicht ganz unwichtig ist. Zur Akkuleistung muss man sagen, dass es sich hier um Solarleuchten handelt, diese benötigen zum Aufladen genügend Sonnenlicht😉. Nachdem es gestern, also Anfang April, den ganzen Tag über sonnig war, leuchtete die Leuchte die ganze Nacht über. Hier also auch Daumen nach oben.👍 Speziell möchte ich die schnelle Lieferzeit loben, gerade wenn man bedenkt, dass die Leuchten mitten im Corona-Chaos eine lange Anreise aus Englang hatten.👍

After purchasing cheap versions for years i decided to purchase this one, mainly because of it bigger battery so it will last longer. It bigger than i expected but its good thick quality plastic, it also comes with a extension tube so you can place it twice as high. The flame effect is pretty realistic but if you look at it for some time you can see the effect looping and the "flames" never have a real calm moment. *edit* In mid 2024, after three years, one suddenly stopped working, but will buy again!
