Thanks!!** A: I wouldn't expect a problem. I have an original set of Moabs that have the same loops. I've probably walked 500-600 miles in these boots. I've worn out the soles and I've worn 3 holes in the sides just above the soles, but the loops for the laces are going strong. I just tossed the old Moabs and replaced them with a pair of Moab 3. **Q: Do the moab 3 hiking boot and moab 3 hiking shoe vary in size?** A: I tried on the waterproof shoe and they felt smaller. I was told the size is measured before the waterproof insert is added. So I would say if you have regular Moab 3 mid hiking then if you are getting Moab 3 shoe make sure it is regular and not waterproof for the same fit. **Q: Do these have good drainage. They're not waterproof, but are they water holding? I need boots that will drain for a week-long canoing trip.** A: Drain well. But if submerged it takes a bit. Great hiking boot. They feel very lightweight, almost like more of a shoe than a boot. Perfect for hiking here in Florida. The fit for me was true to size, and they were amazing right out of the box. Put them on, got on the trail, and hiked three and a half miles and couldn't even tell because my feet were so comfortable! These boots are great for ALL types of terrain. They can handle it all, no matter what climate or landscape you are exploring.
