Can't live without it!
I absolutely love this! I bought 4 of these already over the span of 3 years. I go hiking and do outdoors stuff a lot so this held up wonderful! I love that it is not high tech, it is simple and easy to use and light weight and small, everything I needed and expect. I have not been disappointed in this at all! Price for this is spot on. I don't use the lanyard so I clip it to my pants or clip it in my pocket. It is accurate on steps. I had to buy more because I am rough with it so it holds up great! I broke one accidentally when I dropped it. I have to say, this little baby if perfect!!

Back To Basics
This is not a tool for accuracy so much as it is for comparisons. I do not believe there are any pedometers that are precise. Move from a chair to the kitchen and you can get 50 steps even off an iPhone. Still, I love using my rudimentary pedometer as I would describe it. It encourages you to raise the count so you can compare it with satisfaction to the day before. Worth the fun to buy one. And you're not dealing with those harmful electronic waves. It's a pretty basic tool

Easy to use and just what I needed.
All I needed was a good pedometer to count my steps and this does the trick. It is very simple to use. For first use, all I had to do was remove the piece of plastic that kept the battery ready to use. It came with a detachable lanyard so when I have no waistband or pocket to clip it too, I can just reattach the cord, slip it over my head, and keep counting those steps. It can be removed from the clip. It resets with a long press of a button on back.

Sturdy Clip, Accurate Count, and Long-lasting
This is my second time purchasing this pedometer. I've waited to write a review because I wanted to see how long this one would last. I've owned other pedometers before, and the clip has always been a sore point for me because the clips quickly break. At least once I accidentally flushed one down the toilet because the clip was weak; it would always go flying off my waistband, sometimes landing on the floor and sometimes in the toilet. However, this brand rarely did that. It was very sturdy, and I wore it every day, sometimes in my sleep, so even when I woke up at night and moved around I could count those steps too. This brand lasted over a year, and I even had to replace the battery I used it so much. It also is pretty accurate: I have hall duty every day at work, and sometimes when I walk up and down I will count my steps to test it. Even though I finally broke the clip on this one, the machine itself still works. I clipped it to my lanyard and was surprised that it kept accurate count there also. I know the company says you could do that to, but I was leery of that because it would bounce about with my keys and whistle at different angles, and I couldn't imagine it correctly counting anything with all that irregular movement. Another plus to this pedometer is how it waits until the first ten steps before it will count those as steps. Other pedometers I had would count sitting down or other odd movements as steps. The other sore point with previous pedometers I have owned is that they would randomly restart if I accidentally pressed up against a counter or table because the reset button was in the front. This one's reset button is in the back protected by the clip. It rarely restarts. If you are looking for a simple step counter that you can wear with anything, this is it. No programming, no extras like calorie counting, stride input, or connecting it to a computer app. It's pretty small and sturdy. Worth its price, in my opinion.

Simple and Easy
Simple step counter, I got a strap to attach it to my ankle and it works like a charm. Not 100% accurate as various non-step movements can add to the step count like bouncing your leg, riding in a car, roller coasters, etc. The button to reset is not difficulty to press but not so easy that it'll go off accidentally. I do like that it just counts my steps and nothing else, I have a fancy (cheap) smart watch that comes with all the bells and whistles but requires an app, regular charging, and a phone connection. Sometimes I prefer the simpler option, and this is perfect for that. Highly recommend if the smart watch style isn't your jam.

Easy to use, but inacceptably inaccurate
The 3DFitBud Simple Step Counter Walking 3D Pedometer could not be easier to use. Hold in the reset button for a few seconds to zero it out when you wake up, then stick it in your pants pocket or carry it on the supplied lanyard or in your purse or bag way, and read your steps whenever you want. The display is large and easy to read. It is not lighted, but that saves circuitry, size, and battery life. Unfortunately, the pedometer I purchased was not accurate. As a test, I carried it in my left pants pocket while walking on my treadmill for about 25 minutes. In my right pants pocket, I carried my Android smartphone with a pedometer app I downloaded at no cost. I compared the readings on both devices to the steps tracked by my treadmill. I have repeatedly checked my treadmill's step-counting accuracy over the years by counting my steps as I walk, and comparing them to the treadmill. Consistently, over 2,000 steps, the treadmill never varies from my actual count by more than two steps, which is a maximum error of only 1/10 of one percent (0.001). So I was comfortable using my treadmill's reading as the standard for a comparison of the 3DFitBud Simple Step Counter Walking 3D Pedometer and the smartphone app. The free downloadable app on my phone was extremely close to the treadmill's reading. It varied from the treadmill by less than 1/2 of one percent (0.004). On the other hand, the 3DFitBud Simple Step Counter Walking 3D Pedometer had an unacceptable error of eight percent (0.080). Furthermore, the error is not consistent. I've done several tests. Sometimes the 3DFitBud reads high and sometimes it reads low, compared to actual steps counted. And some errors were much higher than eight percent. So, sadly, I'm returning the 3DFitBud Simple Step Counter Walking 3D Pedometer to Amazon for a refund. I'll use the free app I downloaded for my Android. It's my understanding a basic pedometer may com standard on Apple phones. If not, I'm sure such apps are available. Just search for "pedometer."

Light and Easy to use
After having 2 pricy Fitbits die and are no longer usable over the years, I looked for a simple, no wireless/bluetooth, pedometer. I just wanted to count my steps for the day. This one is great! It comes in a little clip holder that can be easily removed so you can put it on a lanyard. I keep it in the clip and put it over my shoelaces for the best footfall count. I don't like wearing things on my waist and I think it's more accurate when it's actually on my foot. I am retired, and was wondering how many steps I take around the house and on my treadmill and this is perfect. It does have the feature of not counting the first 10 steps if you haven't been moving for a while, but they explain that is to prevent overcounting of random movements. Once it realizes you are actually walking, it will start counting at 11 steps, so you do get credit for the 10 steps. This counter is light, and it's pretty accurate - good enough when you're keeping track of thousands of steps per day. Easy to use, I just push the "reset" button every night and zero it out for the next day's use. By the way, some reviews show that you have to remove the counter from the clip to push the reset button, but you do not - the clip has space for you to reach the button without having to remove it. Love this pedometer and it comes in lots of colors! Oh, and there's a 2-year warranty, so that should reassure anyone if there are any issues.
