Review: Bargain good quality ear buds - I've had these for about 4 weeks now. This is my first pair of wireless buds. I was worried they might fall out and get lost. They fit so well I have no worries about losing one. Even a vigorous shake of the head doesn't seem to move them. In spite of that they're very comfortable even after hours of listening. The sound quality is what I like most. So musical and pure sounding. To me they sound much better than far more expensive headphones I've had over the years. The noise reduction doesn't seem to make much difference on or off, but the sound isolation is so good it doesn't matter. The battery seems to last ages and they get a top up when stored in the case. The only very slight negative is the control buttons on them. I press them every time I adjust one or even touch the side if my face, either pausing the music or putting them into ambient mode by mistake. Another press and is all sorted but not ideal. In terms of pairing and controlling, the app is good and they pair easily. The price is good at the moment because there is a newer version but I would say get them while they're cheap and still available.

The charging case and buds seemed to have all been fully charged up which is very convenient and I didn't have to charge before use! Thank you Sony. More later Today on my third day I've had these buds in for two hours and they are both still showing 100%! I am still impressed by the comfort and sound quality in particular the surprising deep bass I've experienced ,real ' basso profundo' very good value for money so far! My image is it's status after use from 10am to 4pm! Impressed 👍 I can't understand where those deep notes come from! When they get multipoint I think they will be very good value for money! If I lost a bud they are cheap enough to buy again. Good value! Yesterday I was watching the Coronation of King Charles III and listening on these earbuds such a powerful sound!! And wide sound stage too. Powerful sound of the choirs state trumpeters and even deep notes from the organ at Westminster abbey. Remarkable!! A little tip for Sony 700n users. As you might know, this app can connect with two different devices. I have got mine connected to my Surfans MP3 player, which means I can leave that device in my pocket or backpack and operate everything from the Sony app. It's easy to connect and quite convenient. This includes changing the volume and tracks and all the normal functions of the Sony app, including your MP3 player. Very convenient!

**Q: Are these earbuds comfortable enough for all night use?**
A: They are comfortable for most of day.
But I rather think they would fall out at night.

**Q: Should the noise reduction cancel all the noises or is it normal that even if quieter I can ear all the noises when the music is not on?**
A: Hi Giovanni,

The noise cancelling circuit senses outside noise using built-in microphones and sends an equal-but-opposite cancelling signal to the headset. By producing this countersignal, your headphones block a large part of external sound sources. However, it's important to remember the following:

-The effect may not be pronounced in a tranquil environment, or some sound may be heard. If there is little ambient noise, it's advisable not to switch on the NC function, as it needs ambient input to work optimally.

Sound can only travel if there is a medium to transport it, such as air, water, glass, or metal. If you stand in an empty room with a speaker playing music, you will hear the music. However, if the air from this room is removed, the speaker will still function, but you won't hear any sound as there's no medium to transport the sound waves.

You may hear external sound when using Noise Cancelling due to:

-Air trapped between your audio device and eardrum.
-Different pitch levels. Noise cancelling works best when the ambient noise is low or medium in pitch and remains constant. For example, an airplane engine produces a low-pitched, constant sound, meaning that the level of sound you hear remains consistent. Conversely, when someone speaks, sound waves scatter based on the volume and energy created by every word. Unlike a plane engine, speaking pitch changes frequently. That is why you might hear someone talking next to you.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4* Quality 1* Noise Cancelling

These Sony headphones have a high build quality and reliably connect. Very comfortable to wear. Small case with long lasting battery charge. Sound is good, but will not blow you away. Ideal headphones provided you're not buying them for noise cancelling. Noise cancelling is non-existent on my Sony ones, outside of the noise blocked out by the fit of the headphones. Tried different headphone tips included, but did not help. No difference noticeable when switching between the noise cancelling options on the app. Have recently bought a pair of the new Bose quiet comfort earbuds released Sep 2024. These are much dearer than the Sony ,but actually have effective noise cancelling from cars when walking or whilst commuting on train. Sound of the Bose is not that different from the Sony and the Bose have a bigger case and headphones, however they do deliver on their noise cancelling which is what I was really looking for.
