hi, if this works on a rocker switch, i take it you would need 2 of them per switch, one to flick on and one to flick off?

No, only one bot is sufficient. You will use the add-on that comes with it so SwitchBot could push or lift up the rocker switch for ON/OFF control.

Is this able to switch a standard rocker light switch on AND off please?

Yes. I use one for this purpose. Be sure not to lose the small plastic 'loop' which comes with it. This is required for the 'pull' action to turn the light switch back to the off position. The main unit has an appendage, for the want of a better word, to take care of the 'push' action. When it retracts the attached 'loop' pulls on the light switch, returning it to the off position. My light switches are reasonably stiff but the Switchbot has no trouble - surprisingly strong push/pull action.

There's a short delay from command to action but it's working flawlessly via the app (I don't have the hub yet). For the price it's a great solution but you just have to accept the short delay in action and also that it's not the most aesthetically pleasing. Used in a visually prominent position it may look a little bulky to say the least but for switches out of main eye line and hard to reach switches the look is far less an issue to be concerned with. Rememeber also if you use just one on a 2-way switch (eg hall and landing) you must always use it to turn on and off or manually turn on and off. Otherwise you risk mixing up the on and off command via the app.

Yes. The Bot won't bother the manual actions. You can still turn on/off the switches manually s well.

YES, I got it working, but not out of the box, you need to play around with the position of the sticky pad with the loop, and place it such that you are maximizing the distance between the pivot point of the switch, and the point where the SwitchBot presses down on it. But be careful to ensure that the switch can still press down fully if the pad hangs of the edge of the switch, as this could cause problems. See my review for more details.
