This beautiful, pure, Soil Association certified organic, chemical-free henna powder is suitable for hair colouring. This Henna is excellent for colouring hair as it finely sifted it has a smooth none-gritty texture. It is produced in Rajasthan, India. Within the the foil packet the henna is in a vacuum sealed plastic bag so that it stays fresh.Henna will usually give brown hair red/brown undertones. Henna will give light coloured hair - grey, white or blonde a more orange/red tone. When henna is used with indigo for hair colouring it can give shades of different browns to black. The resulting colour depends on the method, how long you leave it on for and the proportion of henna and indigo used. There are several ways of combing henna with indigo. You can either mix the henna together with indigo and apply, or you can colour you hair first with henna and then colour your hair with indigo. The latter gives a stronger colour. This 100 gram packet is approximately enough to colour shoulder length hair. However it does depend how thick your hair is. Fine hair will need less henna and thick or very curly hair will need more henna. For mid back length hair you will need 2 x 100g packets. I love this henna!
Please read this review carefully as I added highlights instead of doing the whole head* For a while I've been wanting to put ginger tones on my already bleached hair (not a full head of bleach) but I didn't want to damage it with conventional dyes and they don't ever last very long. So I recently came across Henna powder and I am very happy with the results! I mixed the powder up with apple cider vinegar and left it over night for the colour to release. I found that I didn't have to use much of the powder, which means that 100g will last me a while. I'd say I used about 30g the first time I did it and 20g the next time, I applied it as if I was putting in highlights with a highlighter brush which didn't create much mess. The first time I did it I left the henna on for 2 hours and it went a really vibrant orange. 2 weeks later, the colour had faded a bit in parts but was still a nice light golden-orange colour. The second time I did it, which was a few days ago (see pictures, it's a bit more orange in person), it turned out a really nice colour and I left it for 1 hour and a half. Because I have oily hair type, I can't wash my hair once a week or use conditioner, I try to wash it twice a week and use dry shampoo in between. the less you wash your hair the longer the colour lasts of course. I also find that washing it with lukewarm-cold water stops the colour from fading. I highly recommend this henna because the quality is fantastic and it hasn't damaged my hair. I don't blow dry my hair and I wouldn't ever bleach my hair over the bits that were already bleached so my hair was in good condition prior to using henna. If you only add highlights to your hair it's less messy and is easier to touch up again!

Great hair dye when used with indigo
This hair dye is amazing, Iโm allergic to ppd in cosmetic hair dye and found this! Used with indigo it creates the perfect dark brown colour and covers grey hair with no reaction

Really pleased with the result
First time using henna. Bit unsure about this 'experiment'! Ordered and it came the next day. Well packaged. Instructions had a hole in the middle so I asked my friend, who has done this before, to give me some tips and I thoroughly read the reviews before I started! I have short, fine, dark hair with some white hair coming through. Have always chemical dyed before. I mixed up half the packet with 75ml fresh lemon juice and 75ml warm water. Left in the airing cupboard overnight. Left on for 3 hours the next day while I did my cleaning. I'm pleased with the result, though my 7 year old thinks it's too orange (but she has an opinion on everything!). Next time I will just mix up a 1/4 of the full packet as I threw alot of the mix away. My hair feels healthy, white hairs fully covered, and my scalp is not itchy (which it usually is after applying chemical dye). This is the new way forward for me. Actually really pleased with the whole 'experiment'.
