Very First Book of Things to Spot Review: Great Activity for Parent-Toddler Interactions - I bought this for my two-year and 18-month-old sons. The "Very First Book of Things to Spot" series came highly recommended by several Usborne reviews I found on YouTube. The book includes prompts for the parents to follow, like, "How many little bears are there?" or "Who's wearing yellow boots?" My two-year-old really enjoys this book and can sit on the couch for an hour with me, looking for different things. Sometimes I follow the prompts, and sometimes I make up my own questions. The illustrations are bright, vivid, and cheerful. While my 18-month-old doesn't answer many of the prompts, he can name different animals and enjoys looking at the illustrations. Not only do I enjoy this for my children, but I like that it encourages more parent-child interaction. Review: Great book to get little brains working - Great book for toddlers, it is like iSpy, for younger kids. I love that there is also a learning aspect, it tells you to find animals in specific colors, helps teach up and down, or sizes. It has helped start discussions for my (almost 3 year old) boy. We've spent hours reading this book together and seem to always find something new every time. I highly recommend this book for little learners.

Great learning book!
One of our very favorite books. Both daughters have loved it so much we have purchased it twice. Great for 2yr old!

Great for Learning!
My 2-year-old has learned so many words! We skip the harder questions and ask her our own questions like, “find a red apple.” Or “which cat is sleeping?” It will be easy to adapt our questions the older she gets. I love that it’s so versatile. It arrived in perfect condition.

Great Quality, Colorful, Interactive
Bought this for my one-year-old and love it! The pictures are fun and entertaining. It will grow with him, as he understand more and is able to notice more of the details in the images and follow more of the "spot" instructions.

Very useful for enaging very little ones in critical thinking
Very useful and pleased with my purchase. Has some questions listed on each page so parents get the idea of what things to ask, but parents can make even more questions. There are fun cut outs, bright colors, and scenes that spark imagination. I will use this book with a 2 year old as a way to assess and enforce learning of counting, colors, words, etc. (Note: my 9 month old found the images engaging but the questions are not really at his level yet.) My only complaints are at that, the board book pages are a tad thin so don't expect them to withstand baby droll and chewing or bending... and the images are cutesy/childlike which could cause some confusion as to what their real counterparts are but usually the connection between the two can be explained (like bunnies have long ears).

Great book!
My daughter loves this book. She doesnt listen to stories well, so we were hoping an interactive book would be better. She loves looking for the different things, and pointing out all the animals! Shes 2

Great for hours of discovery.
Grandsons thought this was so fun to "read" and find things!

I got this book for my son as I had heard great things about it. I'm so glad I did. This book is perfect when you have a little time to kill (we bought it for an overseas trip to keep him busy at the airport) as you can either read the questions already in the book 'Who's wearing the red hat?' or make up your own questions based on your childs level of understanding.
