Ateco 1303, Bowl Scraper Set of 2

Nice set of scrapers. Flexible and tough. I used them to remove my cakes from the pan and they come out wonderfully. Wash up easily in the dishwasher.

With all the cooking I do, I was using several green scrubbies a day to clean bowls, especially when I baked bread. These bowl scrapers didn't look very useful, but they were so inexpensive, I decided to try them anyway. I'm glad I did! They work. They also save me money. They are strong and sturdy and they get the job done. Easy to clean too, nothing sticks to them. Good purchase.

I don't know what sheerness means or what it has to do with anything, but these are great. I have also used them to help scrape a stubborn sticky label off a jar and smooth out the bubble of contact paper. Of course it's great for getting food like bread dough out of a bowl.

I just used these for the first time yesterday to make chocolate truffles and decorations. They performed fine. 4 stars because while trying to scrape some completely cooled tempered chocolate from a stainless steel bowl, I permanently deformed one of the corners. It's got a 2-3 mm dent in the corner now--not a big deal. Either of the longer sides worked just fine for that purpose, but if I used the shorter sides, the whole thing just bent and didn't scrape the chocolate at all. This is not necessarily bad, just know that these are softer than set tempered chocolate. Also, when washing them in hot water, they became even more pliable, so if you want to use them for warm things they will be even more flimsy. Finally, mine don't have the hole in them like the ones in the picture. They are solid white plastic.

Finally found the tool I was looking for! Perfect shape and flexibility. The rounded edge perfectly scrapes the bowl when removing dough with just the right flex to hug the curve. The flat edge perfectly scrapes the dough up on the board. Double pack means I've always got one handy. Nice size, great addition to my kitchen, glad I purchased!

I had another plastic scraper that didn't have the curve. These are perfect for bowls. I've seen other reviews that state they are too stiff, but that a feature in my opinion. I use them to scrape the bowl and then use the straight edge to work the dough on the bench. Well worth the price.

Seemed like a great deal for 2 items. They are very stiff and would make great bench scrapers although on the small side. As a bowl scraper, this item is a total fail. Way too stiff! I gave up and used my rubber spatula. Sending them back
