The instructions say, spray 6-8 inches away, let it sit for 2-3 min. Just rinse, no scrubbing! I would say that is false 90% of the time. I tested this on a pretty nasty sink and bath tub, the sink had very light soap scum and even rinsing with very hot water there were multiple areas you could visibly see that still had soap scum. Using a simple hand bristle cleaning brush removed the rest with a nice 1 min circular motion scrub. As for the bathtub, at best it loosen up the built up soap scum, this is with a generous amount of spraying. Again, handle brush or scrubbing pad removes the majority. So hence the 4 stars. It doesnt work as mfg claims, but with a lil agitation from a brush or pad and your good. Lil on the pricey side but it does save you some time.
