Shortbread House of Edinburgh Lemon Shortbread Bites, Truly Handmade, 5.3 Ounce (Pack of 1)

I came across these during a trip to Scotland in October 2014. I found the brand (House of Edinburgh) in a boutique food store, although they were sold in tins ('Sicilian Lemon Shortbread"). All of the touristy shops were selling Walkers, and I was glad to find a local brand to give away as gifts. After trying them, I decided to keep all the tins I brought home for myself-- they were simply too good. Luckily, I found cases of these here at Amazon, and I've bought about a case per month since I came back. I bring them to work where they've gotten rave reviews (2 boxes don't last longer than an afternoon). I brought a few boxes to Thanksgiving dinner, where they also got rave reviews. I gave away boxes to all of my family members for Christmas, and these were consistently mentioned in the thank-you notes I received. The bottom line: these are a delicious shortbread cookie, and by far the best cookie this brand produces (although I highly recommend their regular shortbread, and their orange/ dark chocolate shortbread if you can find it).

These cookies are delicious! They have the perfect texture, buttery and sweet but not too sweet. They do arrive with some broken but I expected that from other reviews. I will not be sharing them with guests so I don't mind that they aren't perfect. Also, I live in the US and they travel a fair distance so I'll live with some crumbs to get these at a decent price point. LOVE the perfect amount of lemon flavor!

Bought this as a gift for a friend, did not disappoint. Having been to Scotland, i wasn’t familiar with this Brand, The Sicilian Lemon Cookie is the Tops. A traditional Scottish Biscuit and an Iced Lemon Cookie in One.

These cookies are amazing. Well packaged, very little breakage. Eight boxes of cookies. I just got them (March 6). The expiration date is in August. They taste fresh, and the lemon flavor is perfect - not too sweet, not too tart, and not too much. I shared a box with my coworkers, who loved them - but I'm keeping the rest for home. :) I buy a lot of Walkers shortbread, so it was nice to find something a little different. I will definitely buy these again!

Just open this package and basically all of the cookies in here are smashed I would not recommend that anyone buy these I also tried a couple just because I paid for it and I regretted it they taste pretty foul

I was so excited about getting these. Shortbread is my favorite. But not this shortbread. Lemon might be my favorite flavor, but these have a little too much lemon. The ingredients in these are stellar, but the lemon is a bit too bright. It drowns out the rich, buttery taste. I'm willing to admit that it's just personal taste. I like my shortbread to get most of its taste from butter. But all of that doesn't matter, because I didn't receive cookies. I got crumbs. Five oz. of crumbs. The cookies are small, about 1.5" in diameter (there were three unbroken ones in my box, so I could tell). I'm telling you that, so you'll realize how tiny the crumbs were. Somehow it just isn't as satisfying to gulp down a handful of crumbs as it is to nibble a cookie. And, of course, it's a food item, so there's no return. I'm going to have to re-think my habit of buying lots of neat food products from Amazon, because so many are non-returnable. So I'll have to advise against spending the money on these. Unless you need lemon crumbs.

I love these cookies with my tea. I am a huge lover of lemon so they are wonderful at tea time. Thank you so much for a wonderful lemon cookie.

I love this flavor. Once I got it from Scotland and immediately love it. Only problem is that they are quite expensive! Wish it was a little bit less.

The product itself is great - but the shelf life is short. The Seller should stipulate this.

The cookies were all broken up and crumbled. There was hardly anything intact so that I could determine its taste.

Shortbread was received covered in dust and cookies had expired by 5 months.

Superb tasting, nice packaging ( some are a gift ). Very good value too, great....

Way too buttery. All I can taste is the butter. Barely has a crunch or nice texture, just turns into mush when bit into. Tastes average, nothing amazing.
