Ok so my daughter came home from school and I found some dreaded nits! I ordered this which I’ve never tried before but it says it kills 100% nits and eggs so I thought why not give it a go! Well I’m so glad I did. My daughter’s hair is very long it comes down to her bottom. Being paranoid I also did my own hair (shoulder length) and my son’s hair (short) to my surprise I still had some left in the bottle. The stuff you put on is sticky but I managed to work it through her hair without any issues. I then used a brush to brush all the knots out and then I used a nit comb while it was on her head. (For me and my son 20 mins because I didn’t find any bits but for my daughter 2 hours because she had loads) Well as soon as I started combing (within a few mints of putting the stuff on her hair) I’m so pleased that every single bit that I pulled out was already dead. It worked that fast. Washing it out was also very easy. There is no awful chemical smell, it washing out easily and you get rid of all the bits. Would I buy this again? Yes 100% I would.

We recently used NitNOT for the whole family (5 of us, including 3 with long hair!) and I honestly couldn’t fault it. First thing I noticed was the complete lack of smell, which is a huge win compared to other treatments we’ve tried before. The bottle is a really generous size and easily covered all of us, which made it great value for money. We left it on for the full recommended time (no shortcuts here, I wasn’t taking any chances!) and followed the instructions properly by repeating the treatment after 7 days, even though we were already clear, again, just to be on the safe side. One practical tip: definitely lay a towel down on the floor before you start! I thought I’d be careful, but still managed to turn my kitchen floor into an ice rink, lesson learned! Overall, it did exactly what we needed it to do, was easy to use, and felt much nicer than other treatments we’ve tried. I would absolutely buy it again… although I’m hoping we won’t need to too soon (but with it doing the rounds in my daughter’s class, I’m not holding my breath!).

We have used all the head lice treatments on the market (more than once), and Nitnot is the only one that has finally got rid of the infestation. My granddaughter has now been lice-free for weeks for the first time in ages. Even though I don’t usually write reviews, I had to say THANK YOU so much. I don’t understand why some people struggle to wash it out. Yes, it’s oily, but if you massage the hair for a couple of minutes as shown in the instruction video, it comes out easily. Just use enough shampoo or washing-up liquid and give the scalp a good massage. My granddaughter has beautiful, thick, curly hair, and it all washed out without any problem. This is by far the best product and great value for money, as it’s twice the size of most other treatments. I'd definitely use this product again.

With two kids in primary school and one in nursery, I have been battling lice for years now and multiple times per term. I am resigned to the fact that I will be treating lice at least once a month until they're in secondary. So this is a very costly task - both in money and time. So my review is based on those two factors because after trying literally every product on the market, not a single one is 100% effective first time. And if you're expecting to do a one and done treatment, you will be repeating this cycle more often than necessary because you absolutely have to break the cycle and repeat your treatment. So in my opinion, you're better off ignoring the effectiveness claims of a product and focus more on the time and money aspects and make sure your method is correct. PROS There are lots of pros to using this product outside of the ones shown in the listing. It is the only way to get a comb through my daughters very thick hair and I think this would be a good fit for anyone with thick, curly, or dry hair. I would never, ever, put fairy liquid on my children's hair. I don't want to deal with the damage and dryness but I can understand it's a cheap option for dissolving the oil. I have found that if you apply any shampoo directly to the hair BEFORE water, it creates a creamy lather. Add little bits of water to make it lather more, rinse and repeat 2 more times. This has been effective at getting it out. It is competitively priced for what's out there but given the cons (below) the price feels a bit high as the time required to treat is so much longer than the other options out there. CONS This is a very time consuming option compared to other products. I like that it's eco friendly and just one ingredient but waiting 2 hours to comb and trying to keep kids away from pillows and couches (because it transfers oil everywhere) is a stressful nightmare. Some of them will keep a towel on their heads but try doing that with my 2 year old, not a chance. Washing it out takes forever too. There are shampoo based treatments out there and other oil based options that take 20 minutes or less to be 'effective'. None of them are 100% like I said so I tend to purchase the quicker ones and take an awful amount of care combing. I've even had luck using pure coconut oil with a few drops of peppermint and tea tree oil, but the same time consuming issue applies to this option (and the oily mess) but it's the cheapest option I've found. The MOST important thing you can do in this process is to repeat it in 7 days (and many times I've done a third treatment 7 days after that and found the lice still kicking). I love all of the advice provided in the listing, all of it is spot on in my experience, so don't skip any of these steps and you should be lice free in no time! I would recommend this product to people with certain hair types and older children who can be responsible and stay away from textiles. If you are short on time or have younger children, you're better off getting a 15 minute shampoo option, combing really well, and repeating in a week. It is the same result. Hope this helps!

This is a very good product I used, and it works the best on the market compared to similar options I have tried. It is a head lice treatment that is effective and easy to use, and importantly, no heat or light treatment is needed at all – you can use it straight away with no extra steps. It has no strong or unpleasant smell, which is a big plus compared to many other treatments out there. It works really well as intended, feels reliable and good quality, and I am very happy with the product overall. I would definitely recommend it.

This stuff is awful. I bought a bottle of the five minute stuff which we used for the first round and then this stuff for round too. Just finished using this on my daughter's hair and it's been a nightmare. It's really thick stuff, extremely gloomy. We found it hard to coat all of the hair in the first place and then a massive mess when using the comb. Make sure you have clothes, flooring and furniture covered as it ends up everywhere and it stains. Because it was so oily and thick, it became impossible to use as we went on because, as you combed through, your hands and the comb became covered in the stuff. This made going through the hair and cleaning the comb impossible. The consistency of the serum also made it near impossible when trying to put my daughter's long, thick hair in sections. Stick to the 5 minute stuff (main branded one). It was in quickly, the hair was easy to work with and it was extremely effective. No matter what brand you use you'll need to do it more than once. DO NOT BUY NITNOT!

Absolutely brilliant. Cant praise it highly enough. Killed every live lice and removed all the eggs. Is thick and oily enough to cover the hair. Only disappointing thing was the comb brilliant curved design but would have worked better if it was metal. Definatly use washing up liquid to wash the hair and remove product then wash with normal shampoo.

Update after 2nd treatment: I followed up a week later with a second treatment. Along with more eggs I found one very large adult louse which was either newly caught or survived the original application. But seems to have worked eventually. Increased rating as it did eventually work, even if the first application wasn’t a success. - With two kids in infant school lice are constantly making their way back into our house so wish I had the positive experience so many others had, but I found this possibly the worst I’ve tried to date. Pros: - No nasty smell (although found the same of Hedrin and Full Marks). - Found it significantly easier to remove eggs when combing through with a nit comb before washing out compared to the other brands. - Washes out as easily as any other. Did so the only way I’ve ever done it with any brand (fairy liquid straight onto hair without wetting, then rinse and repeat 2 more times before a final wash with shampoo). It takes 5 minutes and left the hair squeaky clean - although not as soft and conditioned-looking as other brands. Cons: - The only one that matters. Doesn’t kill the lice! I presume the claim that it kills 100% is based on the drowning lice in the stuff in a lab rather than real world conditions. I applied as directed, but left for 5 hours as I was sceptical. After 5 hours I saw two crawling around in her hair still very much alive. I then re-applied for 2 more hours and did a final go over with a nit comb. - Awful to apply, for sure the worst of the three brands I’ve tried. So very oily and gloopy. I’ll finish the bottles with a follow up treatment but then it’ll be back to Full Marks for us.

Je dois le dire, j'ai lutté pendant des années contre les poux. Des années où j'ai tout, TOUT essayé (sauf raser la tête de mes filles...). J'ai essayé les produits de parapharmacie, les marques bien connues, qui coûtent un bras avec traitement que tu recommences x fois pour des récidives assurées, j'ai essayé les méthodes artisanales genre masque à l'huile d'olive et à la mayo, j'ai même testé le henné neutre (recommandation d'une coiffeuse qui m'avait dit que c'était radical... mais bon, ça a juste donné un max de brillance et de souplesse aux cheveux de mes filles, les poux eux, n'ont même pas été égratignés). J'ai donc jeté beaucoup d'argent par les fenêtres, tellement que je me demande si avec tous l'argent perdu dans ces produits inefficaces, on n'aurait pas pu se payer un beau week-end en famille. Dans mes errances sur Amazon, alors que je m'apprêtais à commander deux tubes de baume décolleur de lentes (oui parce qu'en plus des poux, les lentes mortes inesthétiques restent soudées aux cheveux comme s'il fallait garder des stigmates de cette guerre sans fin ! Genre "vous avez gagné cette bataille mais pas la guerre" vous voyez...) quand je suis tombée sur les commentaires à propos de ce produit anti-poux Nit Not. C'était sans appel : c'est THE produit miracle qui te débarrasse des poux à coup sûr. Je me suis dit que ça valait le coup de tenter même si, de prime abord, le produit me semblait un peu cher. J'ai commandé, j'ai testé et je n'en ai pas cru mes yeux. Infestation sur deux têtes à longs cheveux, le flacon m'a permis de faire 2 applications sur l'une et 3 sur l'autre (ses cheveux sont plus fins). Après ce traitement, plus un seul poux pendant des mois ! Puis réapparition sur une tête des mois après, traitement en une seule application, terminé, adios les poux. C'est difficile à croire quand on a tout essayé mais ce produit, c'est juste dingue comme il fonctionne bien. Il est effectivement TRES gras mais il s'applique très facilement. Il faut juste prévoir des serviettes pour protéger un peu la zone. Rinçage : prévoyez plusieurs shampoing mais ça part assez facilement malgré tout. Résultats : cheveux doux et brillants, pas d'odeur caractéristique, plus de poux. Reste à retirer les lentes mortes qui ont résisté au peigne et basta. Au final, le produit qui me semblait cher ne l'est pas du tout car m'a permis de faire 5 traitements et surtout sans récidive. Là où je dépensais des sommes folles tous les mois en produits nuls à la pharmacie. Vraiment, je recommande à 10000000 % Et s'il n'est plus dispo sur Amazon France, on le trouve aussi sur Amazon UK (et perso je suis prête à le commander à l'étranger si besoin vu que c'est le seul produit que j'ai testé qui marche VRAIMENT).

However, you need to follow the instructions properly for it to be 100% effective: 1. ​Leave it on for 2 hours: Don't just do the minimum 20 minutes if you want to be sure. Leaving it on for 2 hours is absolutely essential to fully suffocate everything, especially if there's a lot of hair. ​2. DO THE SECOND TREATMENT: You strictly need to repeat the whole process one week later (7 to 9 days). This is non-negotiable to break the cycle and catch any new hatchlings. ​Because it is 100% Dimethicone, it kills them physically, so they can't become immune to it. Plus, as someone with a coconut allergy, I love that this formula is completely safe for me. ​If you are tired of wasting money on drugstore treatments that fail, buy this. Très efficace. Je recommande. Ma nièce a pourtant eu beaucoup de mal à se débarasser de ses lentes et poux, mais, avec ce produit, en deux traitement, cela a disparu.
