Top quality game play exactly like the โ80s
Super easy set up, and controls, video, and sound exactly like the original arcade game. Any day you get transported back to the โ80s is a good day! Couldnโt be much happier with this purchase.

Fun and brings back the arcade classics to your home.
The games in this arcade are fun. Building the arcade was easy and fun as well. My only issue with my product is that the screen has a small noticeable scratch on it. It gets annoying to see the scratch while playing certain games. The company should inspect the screens before they package the product ship them. Over Al I recommend this Tempest arcade.

It's a risky proposition - BE WARNED
waited for the right time, and price to finally order this. got it timely fashion, instructions I found easy to understand and put it together by myself no problem. it turns on right away, and I go to play my first game of Tempest .... and it won't work. Discover that ONE BUTTON doesn't work - and it's the Player 1 button, which is the CREDIT button. So, I can't get credits to play a game - so therefore can't play a game. I take it apart and try to reset, and replug in all cords and such -- still no dice. Filed a ticket thru the game's website -- first reply was like "this is how you play"; and I'm like "NO, the button doesn't work to give me a game .. any workaround?" they reply -- better just return it. SO - disassemble, even putting all the screws/small pieces into ziploc bags, and put everything back in the original box it came in the exact way it came -- with the styrofoam pieces and everything. Get the return mailing label and send it back on time ... Four days later, get a note from the Amazon seller -- Spreetail -- that they're charging me a restocking fee of SEVENTY FIVE BUCKS. So instead of the $160 I paid, I get $85. Total, complete and utter BS. Amazon/SPREETAIL literally RIPPED me off thru no fault of my own - NONE. I ordered something, it didn't work, I returned it, and they STOLE $75 from me. Complete HORSESH!T. I was thinking about ordering the bigger, stand up new Star Wars game (with all three in one unit) --- don't trust them now; how can I? saw in a review earlier this happened to someone else -- and they b!tched loud enough to get the restock fee taken off. Guess I gotta get the megaphone out now to YELL AS LOUD as he did. SO DISAPPOINTING. Was looking forward to having this gem -- but instead, not only do I have to return it, I GET SWINDLED IN THE PROCESS. --- UPDATE Aug. 27, 2026 --- they replied immediately (15 mins after) from my LOUD RANT on Aug. 15 about them being a bunch of thieves with this: Hello, The withheld fee will be credited back to your account. $80.00 is being refunded to the method of payment currently linked to your account and Amazon will refund any associated taxes. These funds should be applied to your account in the next 3-5 business days. The Spreetail Customer Experience Team -- so I'm like, ok great. That was NINE BUSINESS DAYS AGO; and still NO $80.00 credit on my card. have been sending them messages every day since Monday -- they finally responded yesterday with a "oh, it looks like you got your refund" -- so I just had to send a recap missive -- when all they had to do was SCROLL UP on their screen to see the chain of messages. this is now entering the territory of OBSCENELY STUPID .... maybe, they're just a bunch of thieves after all.

Perfect size nostalgia!
I absolutely love these. I ordered all the atari versions with the trackball and dial. Perfect size for a desk. Pro tip: before ripping the protective film off of the screen, unscrew the screws holding the glass down a few millimeters. That way when you pull off the film it comes off in one go and doesn't leave any residue (you have to back them off any Ways to get the screen Protector off completely). Another pro tip: invest in some 12mm u-shape rubber edge banding. The edges of the playing surface dig into your hands a bit.

I want to love thus...but ....
So this is a pretty bad system. The only saving grace is it has the tempest setup and some great artwork. But... Everything else fails badly. The nob/wheel is so loose if you nudge the cabinet it will spin, there is no feedback or resistance at all on it. It was so loose i contacted the manufacturer to replace the part, it was then that i found out that that was how it was designed to cut costs or the already overpriced cabinet would cost more! Tempest works ok on this, it takes a bit of practice due to the loose spinner, but the other games feel aweful. Gravitar is controlled using buttons, one for turning left one for right and thrusters, its weird. And theres no menu button, if you want another game to play you need to turn off the arcade and turn it back on. Oh and your scores do not save. Yea, get it on sale if you really want a tempest barcade.

Excellent little cabinet
Great appearance and function, with the spinner loose, but not uncontrollable. Each game fits a vertical screen, even if they were originally horizontal games. For vector games, this is less noticeable. To save high scores, make sure to exit to the home screen first, or the score will not be recorded. It was a snap to put together, and each panel is individually protected by plastic for shipping. Sound is not direct, but it can get loud enough, and is game accurate. The screen has nice contrast and is much better than some other screens in small units. Overall, I am happy with the purchase and look forward to future titles.

High scores don't save - but super fun and nostalgic otherwise
The only reason I gave four stars is that the high scores don't save which is a bummer for some of my friends that visit and play and want to be able to have bragging rights every time they come over. This is a great game piece to add to your game room! I love that it fits on the counter and isn't too bulky - so we could grab this product and have in our apartment which isn't that big. The main game is the best one, all the others are okay but a little awkard to play and feel more like a passive add-on than the main attention. Also - you do have to turn the game off and turn back on to get to play the other games - not super user friendly given the technology inside. I love the nostalgia I get when playing and it's a huge conversation piece when we have guests. I think it's perfect for any fun loving gamer who wants to take a step down memory lane in their own home. Assembly was fairly easy just followed the instructions. If we had a bigger space, I'd probably buy more from here as I just love the size of them and art style on the sides.

Atari Arcade Game- Tabletop
It's taken my awhile to post this review. I ordered this arcade game for my grandson. He and his dad finally got it put together and in use. It was a relatively easy construction, although the instructions were not the best (confusing and incorrect in places), but it took about 45 minutes or so. He is not old enough to remember the Atari game systems, so this is a unique set of I would say "vintage" games for him, unlike most of the small handheld games he plays most of the time. So it was a nice change for him. There are several different game sets to select from. We got the Tempest games. The trackball player is very sensitive to unlevel surfaces. So make sure to put it on a level desk or table. The size of the game system is small enough so that it does not take up a lot of room in his bedroom. The games are colorful and fun and uniquely retro, so they are getting a lot of playtime out of it. Overall, I am glad I ordered it.
