LIGHTACCENTS Alabaster Amber Glass Lamp Shade – Replacement Shade for Floor Lamps with E26 Medium Base Socket – Torchiere Lamp Glass – Amber Swirl Light Shade

I'm extremely picky when it comes to lamps. I spent years looking for a simple, brushed nickel-style metal floor lamp with an alabaster shade. Something simple like the basic $20 floor lamp you'd get from Wal-Mart or Target but using quality materials and less dorm room-chic. Unfortunately, all of the lamp stands I liked came with plastic shades, and I disliked all the lamp stands that came with alabaster shades. I finally gave up looking for a complete set and bought a "Normande Lighting 150-Watt Incandescent Concord Torchiere Lamp, Brushed Steel" (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005MYXKG0) for its stand with this as a replacement shade. They fit together perfectly and look like they were designed as a single lamp. I couldn't be happier. Installation was quick and easy; I unscrewed the retaining ring from the lamp, swapped out the shade, and screwed the retaining ring back in to hold the shade in place. You just have to be careful not to overtighten it. The value for money was fantastic. Similar lamps (that I liked less) were several hundred dollars, while the lamp and this shade together cost me ~$80 and 30 seconds to time to install it. Well worth the price! I gave it 4 stars for sturdiness because...it's glass...but it's in great condition, and as long as you're careful with it, I think it would be fine. My only complaint is that I like very "cool" light (5000-7000K on a color temperature scale), and the LED bulb I have overheats quickly and shuts off when used in this fixture. I haven't had issues since switching to a "warmer" light (~3000K). That said, I'm not sure whether this is due to the lamp, shade, specific bulb, or most likely a combination of all three. I don't fault the lamp or shade for it.

Fits perfect

I really love the replacement shade I purchased for my floor lamp. The original shade was broken during a move. The new shade fit perfectly and was the exact color I needed to match the lower shade that still existed. It was a much better value than replacing the whole lamp. I'm really happy with the purchase!
