First time I ever tried Peruvian coffee.
Java Planet produces coffee well. I have tried virtually all of their single-origin coffees, and although this is not one of my favorites it is very good. That I happen to like their Sumatra, or Papua, or Costa Rica better is just a matter of taste. This is a well made coffee that I suspect brings out the best that Peruvian coffee has to offer.

Love it!
I love love my coffee in the mornings, but have been kind of tired of my usual go to brands lately. Thought I'd try the JAVA Peru, low acidity brand coffee. Wow I'm actually enjoying my coffee again. I never really thought about organic, whole bean and low acidity coffee, thinking it wouldn't taste as good. Boy was I wrong. What a great cup of coffee. So much better using whole beans. Absolutely no bitter after taste. It's a little more pricey but worth it for the great quality. Just a truly great tasting coffee. Give it a try!

Mmm tastes like cigarettes
I actually was familiar with Java Planet before purchasing here and really like them. I figured I’d pick up a bag here, this was my first one - this particular roast / blend is not for me. Not sure how if “burnt” like others mention, but I dropped some beans and noticed I had an almost cigarette type smell on my fingers after touching them. I usually drink my coffee with dairy free creamer, but after drinking it black - I noticed a cigarette type after taste. That’s definitely not what I want in my coffee. I’ll use up the bag, but I don’t plan to purchase again. I’ll grab another blend and see how that goes. Stars for the organic, high altitude growing, fair trade, etc aspects that made me look at this brand coffee.

Great, organic cofffee!
Great tasting coffee, and healthy. Organic and shade grown means no pesticides or other toxins; low acid, free of heavy metals and mold. (90% of commercial coffees contain mold.) Self- sustaining environment that protects and supports wildlife. Hand picked beans selected at optimum ripeness. Workers are paid a fair wage that improves their quality of living for their families and their villages. Single origin insures quality beans. Definitely worth the price to get a superior coffee, and to know you are supporting the local people who hand pick the beans; It is a win-win.
