There were no instructions or I missed them somehow. It went together pretty quickly with a little trial and error. There's no point in a lock on the front when you can lift off the top at the "hinges". I'm using it as a package deposit location on my porch. Mostly as an out-of-sight-out-of-mind of the porch pirates and protection from the elements. It seems to be spacious enough for multiple packages and just the right size for my small porch. Even if the package doesn't fit inside it's wide enough to block the view of a package left on the front outside. Just a note, if you don't see a color you like you can easily spray paint it, as I did.
