One of the best treats to pack
These are a fan favorite. I give away boxes to flight attendants when I travel. They absolutely love them. Great when you want a little pick me up.

Just like I remembered and more
I love these, but it is partly due to nostalgia. When I first returned to Italy in 2006 after having lived there briefly in 1997, I brought my husband to meet my host family. As we took day trips by train, we started seeing these little candies on the counters of the train stop espresso counters --which are now quite different. Back then, they were a little easier to get to, more open---now you better have a bit of time on your hands to walk inside the station, etc. But either way, there is no such thing as a to-go cup! Either you have time to sit an enjoy your espresso in a real cup they way you ought to do, or you don't have time. (An important Italian lifestyle lesson). However, you might have seen these candies available. We tried them one day, and they weren't our favorites, but I thought of them many times since. It was only last fall mentioning them to a colleague who knew exactly what I was talking about, and referred to them as pocket coffee (he hated them, but a friend of his loves them). I had been searching for espresso candy for years to no avail. . . once I searched Pocket Coffee, I found them! So I have them around as a treat, and to bring me back to Italy once in awhile.

Melted, rode hard and put up wet.
This product is usually an awesome product, but beware where you buy them from. These pocket coffee candies were partially melted at some point. The result is that the aluminum foil is stuck to the candy and is impossible to remove without breaking the liquid center out and having it run all over. I am very familiar with what the product is supposed to be like and these are not it! The outer box had unusual rips and wear on It and had been scotch taped back together. One of the individual boxes inside had its little flap ripped as if someone had been handling the candies. I managed to get one of them opened without losing the liquid center and it was mostly crunchy and the sugar crystallized. I don’t know when these were manufactured, but the box says the “sell by date” expires next month. It feels like the seller left them in the trunk their car for six months and then decided to unload them on me.

Great!
Arrived in perfect conditions. Well packaged. Good price considering that you can’t really find them anywhere

Excellent for stocking stuffers
I bought these for stocking stuffers for a couple coffee lovers in my life. I havent tried them myself since I don't like coffee. But they have really enjoyed them. The only issues were that it took about a month to arrive and the outer box was somewhat damaged when it showed up. The candies seemed fine.

worth the wait, happy with the sale
I purchased these on November 10th knowing they’d be coming from overseas and wouldn’t arrive quickly. Projected arrival date originally was very vague, December 4th-26th. Thankfully they arrived before the latest date. The package was marketed as 5 packs of five, which ended up as 2 packs of 10 and one pack of 5, no problem, count is still the same. They came in a small box, wrapped snuggly in bubble wrap! So glad, I read early reviews stating they had arrived loose in the box and some were damaged. Mine all arrived perfectly intact and without damage. Last week I got antsy, with no real way to track the package I sent a message to the seller asking if they had a timeframe, and worried about if the contents would be good when they arrived. The seller got back to me within hours and eased my anxieties. Very happy that I was patient, these are actually really good. I also eat other types of caffeinated chocolates, but they’re too much chocolate for me. I don’t always want to consume a solid chocolate bar, even if it’s a small one bite piece, just for some caffeine. This was a lot tastier too. I love espresso and dark chocolate, so it exceeded my expectations. I’d recommend keeping them in the fridge or freezer, they’ll last longer, and will be easier to consume, as melty chocolate alone is messy, the insides are liquid of these pocket coffees, so it’ll definitely be way messier! Probably won’t purchase more, the cost and the wait are not something I see as a reasonable purchase. But for those looking for this type of caffeine bite, I’d definitely recommend them.

The seller warned of long delivery time to Australia but I was happy they were delivered a bit early and in good condition. It’s a great product.

Fino chocolate negro en el exterior y auténtico café expreso en el interior. Una verdadera delicia.

These are a really great treat, though not for children - unless you want start the coffee addiction early. The chocolates have a liquid Italian espresso (sweetened and slightly thick) centre with a layer of something crunchy (maybe crystallized sugar), surrounded by semi-sweet chocolate. If you can't eat it in one bite, make sure to keep the chocolate vertical as the espresso will spill out. These were shipped from Germany, and the carton was a bit crushed when it arrived, but the chocolates were in good shape. Labeling is all in German. Best before date was pretty good. Almost 4 months, which is probably as good as you can get. I tried to find these in Italy, but it was summertime and they were not available. These are only available during the winter (as I was told, the heat of the summer will melt the chocolates), so you have to get them while you they are around. I signed up for an alert from Amazon for when these were available again to make sure I didn't miss them. The summer equivalent is Pocket Espresso, which is also good, but this (Pocket Coffee) is much better. I was very happy to find sellers of these on Amazon.
