Product: Staedtler 550 02 Noris Club Compass (INR 1056/- ) Pros + For geometrical drawings involving circles or arcs, this is most useful. + Drawing a pencil circle, and then using a handheld pen to trace the circle is neither accurate nor efficient. The pen holder (universal adapter) comes to help directly draw circles with fine liners or micron pens or sketches. + The extension bar helps in drawing larger circles when I draw on A3 drawing books Cons - Cannot draw very small circles as the central hinge rod in the compass will not allow. However such smaller circles can be traced easily and cleanly, so it is not of much concern. Worth buying to aid your interest and creativity in drawing :)

Good but too expensive

Highly Recommended with sharp precision. Though Rotring is another brand that provides a precise compass, that is priced way beyond this. Staedtler Norris proved to be a real precise compass at a viable price that makes affordability. I would say this is a rather more professional compass and stand out positively from its peers, specifically from the cost perspective, other things being the same. One word for this would be Effortless Yet Quite Precise.

Serves it's purpose but a few things I didn't liked is there was no lead sharpener with the kit and also the material is not of good quality for the price. The compass was sturdy though but I would recommend to go with maped metal as it has lead sharpner and is made with metal for a much lower price.

Good for drawing larger circles plus I can fit a pen into it to draw inked circles. My favourite is still my Faber Castell compass but this Staedtler can do things the Faber cannot so well worth owning both.

This the 4th compass I have ever owned & by far the best. When I first received it, I was disappointed that its body is plastic resin. But this actually makes it very lightweight & easier to use once you get used to it. It is solid & not the least bit flimsy. The blue center piece is metal so its just as precise, because the resin arms are anchored in metal. This compass is easier to adjust than any other compass, but also holds its setting more securely - once you learn how to hold it. This is a Japanese import so it will take longer to receive. Honestly my biggest disappointment is why this product is not sold in America. I guess everyone here wants a metal ones, but this compass is better than all the metal ones I have. perhaps if you work in construction or an industrial environment I could see the need for it to be more "indestructible" but for general use like drafting or art, this is the best compass you will find.

Parmis ce qu'il se fait de mieux en compas. Précis. Celui-ci était pour mon fils. J'ai pris ce modèle, car j'en ai eu du même type pendant mes années lycée. C'est le must
