We've tried different cat litters, but my wife insists this is the best one, especially when it comes to cleaning the litter box. In her words, it doesn't turn into those annoying clumps that make scooping difficult. It scoops smoothly and makes the whole cleanup process easier, which is a pretty important feature when you're dealing with litter boxes regularly. The scent is okay on its own, although we also use scent crystals with our litter, so I can't really judge the odor control completely by itself. Overall, it works well for us, cleans up easily, and most importantly, it has earned my wife's very particular seal of approval when it comes to cat litter.

I used the regular Arm & Hammer Slide litter for quite a while and was perfectly happy with it. When Amazon had a promotion on the Platinum version, I decided to give it a try. After using it, I switched my Subscribe & Save to this version and haven’t looked back. The first thing I noticed was the scent. It’s clean without being overpowering. I have a hard time describing it because it doesn’t have that typical “cat litter fragrance” that so many litters do. It just smells fresh, and it does a great job controlling odors. What really sold me, though, was the clumping. The regular Slide already clumps well, but I think the Platinum version forms slightly firmer clumps that stay together better when scooping. The difference isn’t dramatic, but it’s enough that my litter boxes stay cleaner and I spend less time scraping stuck litter off the bottom. I have two cats and use Litter-Robots, so good clumping is especially important. This litter has held up very well, lasts a long time, and has made litter box maintenance easier overall. If you’re already using the regular Slide and wondering whether Platinum is worth trying, I’d say yes. The improvements are subtle, but after comparing both, I think Platinum is the better product.

I’ve been running a Litter-Robot 4 for about a year with two cats, and I’ve tested quite a few litters to find one that performs well inside the globe without causing issues. I switched to ARM & HAMMER Clump & Seal SLIDE Platinum Multi-Cat about two months ago and it’s now the clear winner for my setup. The “Slide” non-stick technology really lives up to its name in the Litter-Robot. When the globe rotates and dumps the clumps into the drawer, almost nothing stays stuck to the interior liner — I rarely see any residue left behind after a cycle. With previous litters I’d often get bits of clay or softer clumps smeared on the walls or stuck in the sifting holes, which meant occasional manual scraping. With this Platinum version that almost never happens. Cleanup of the globe itself is noticeably quicker and easier. Clumping is strong and fast — urine forms tight, hard balls that hold together perfectly during the rotation and drop cleanly into the drawer. I scoop the drawer every 4–5 days (two cats, average usage), and the odor stays very well controlled the whole time. The combination of baking soda, odor eliminators, and the sealed drawer means the house doesn’t pick up any ammonia smell even toward the end of the week. Dust is very low when pouring into the unit (important since the LR4’s entryway can kick up dust if the litter is powdery). Tracking is also minimal — my cats don’t carry much out onto the mat or floor. The only small observation is that in very humid conditions the clumps feel slightly less rock-hard when they hit the drawer (still scoopable and solid, just a tiny bit softer), but it has no real impact on performance inside the Litter-Robot or on odor control. For anyone using a Litter-Robot 4 (or similar self-cleaning box), this is hands-down the best clay litter I’ve found so far. It maximizes the machine’s strengths: clean rotation, reliable sifting, low maintenance, and truly sealed odor control. My cats use it without hesitation, the unit stays cleaner longer, and I’m spending less time dealing with litter hassles. I’m not planning to switch unless they discontinue this exact formula. 5 stars — excellent match for the Litter-Robot 4 in a multi-cat home.

This litter is excellent quality and absolutely delivers when it comes to clumping and odor control. The clumps form incredibly fast and are extremely tight and solid, which makes scooping very clean and keeps smells locked in. You can really tell this is a premium litter—the odor control is strong even in a multi-cat setup, and it stays effective for days without that stale litter smell. If odor control is your top priority, this litter does an impressive job. That said, the clumping is so strong that it can be almost a little too hard. Because the clumps set up so firmly, they can sometimes stick to the bottom of the litter box if you don’t scoop quickly, which means you may go through litter faster than expected. Still, that same firmness is also what makes it such high quality and keeps messes from breaking apart. Overall, it’s a great value for the performance you get, and if you don’t mind scooping regularly, it’s one of the best clumping litters I’ve used.

And this came at a better price point , it would easily be five stars and the only litter I would use, but it almost $40 for under 40 pounds.It is just far too expensive to use on a regular basis for over thirteen cats. I use it for the kittens only because sometimes they are allergic to the pine pellets which I can get 48 dollars a day bag at tractor supply, making that a far more economical option when dealing with so many cats. This litter has the best clumping power i've ever seen, grains are like fine sand at the beach, pleasant smell and minimal tracking. It comes in a couple sizes.I believe eighteen and thirty four pounds.

This is an excellent clumping cat litter and is a good cat litter to use with automatic cat pants I like it because it does slide right off the bottom of the cat litter pan and that’s really important when the cat litter pan is turning to clean I just wish it had more clumping ability for the wetness because it doesn’t clump all of it together. The one I found that does is the hard ball, but I’m in him also but what I’ve decided to do is to mix both of them together because that gives the advantage of both it gives the advantage of the clumping of all of the wetness together and will thereby cause that clump to slide right out and into the pan below. This will also help cut down on the number of little pieces of clump litter that is too small to be sifted and doesn’t end up in the litter bag below, and that that’s what causes you to have to change your litter frequently. So what figure it might be a little bit pricey to mix these two 50-50 together, but in the end, it will save on the number of times I have do a complete change of the litter.

I’ve been using this cat litter for over a year, and it works really well. It clumps nicely and does a great job controlling odors. I keep repurchasing it because of its consistent quality and performance. Definitely one of my go-to products!

Hands down the best litter ive ever used! I have 3 cats and ive had them for 14 years. We've gone through many different kinds over the years. No offensive scent for me and in my home. Its pricey but its worth it to me.

I like the fact that its scented. but I dont like it that the box was damaged. Initially I thought that it was only the external box which I can understand due to the handling. But the damage cause it to leak and some of the litter dribbled out of the box. Now I am not sure if the litter is damaged.

Exceptional product for my clowder of 9 felines! I've numerous litter boxes to clean and I want fussless cleaning, therefore! Easy pick up of debris. The litter itself has a peculiar light funky odor but not invasive. I use a litter deodorizer as well.

The best litter ever. No smell, no scent, no dust. I have been buying it for years but the price has gone up so much I regretfully might have to change to a less expensive one.
