Scratch the top before applying for the first time.
Nice rosin. Took only three four swipes. I used for my esraj bow. Keep in mind that it may look pretty with all the transparent shine at the beginning. But you need to scratch the top little bit to apply for the first time.

Best Rosin for Beginner Cello Players
As a beginner cello player, I have found that the D'Addario Natural Rosin is a fantastic choice. It is highly affordable and offers great quality. Rosin is Excellent!
Since I have used this Rosin, the Violin sounds excellent. Lesser struggle/pressure/movement of bow required to get a steady sound out of Violin. The Dimension of Rosin is (27mm×55mm×17mm) which is big and can go for years for hobby players. I felt in love with my violin again as it sounds now. Value for money. Definity a very good quality of Rosin that can add taste to the sound of Violin.

Effortless and Smooth Bowing
Okay, so I bought my violin 8 months back and got two stock rosins with it. I purchased this one after I lost my rosins and am I surprised ?. The rosin bar is bigger ( twice the size of the stock rosin I got ) This rosin makes bowing effortless. It produces a bright sound even when you bow lightly. Moreover, it comes with a plastic cover on the sides of the rosin which provides a batter grip.

Works but the beginning is a struggle
Took a while to figure out how to roughen up the surface, works perfectly after that. Wish it came with a better container than the cardboard one.

Seems good, might get damaged in delivery
Note to seller: This seems like a good product. Just mark this as fragile before delivery. The bow hairs break when using a broken resin.

Cannot be more basic than this when it comes to rosin! But it is good quality and it does the job well. No fancy packaging or holder though.
