This is completely plastic, painted to appear as chrome. I’m not mad about it though honestly because that really means no chance of rusting! The adhesive is super strong, we placed it on the shower wall and allowed it to sit holding no weight for about a day. Fits the shower wand we have perfectly, and is pretty good quality for the price you pay. So far it’s working great, and holding well. I’d like to imagine it’s compatible with most wands because of it holding by the base of the wand, where the hose connects.

UPDATE - While not easily removable after the base clicks into place, the process to exchange it was very easy and I got a new one the following day. Just beware, once it clicks into place, it's not going anywhere. If you're renting, expect to need a new one if you move. Tried to set this up and the locking notch broke when I tried to pull it out to adjust it. The glue is strong but the plastic is cheap. Not easily removable.

Perfectly fitting my shower head. 2 options to fit with drilling and without drilling steps are very easy. I sticked and let it rest for 10hrs and it's stable.

Very sturdy and this works very well. I have already purchased two and may purchase a third.
