Out of date
The blurb says this is for Scratch 3 but it's actually for Scratch 2. The only evidence for any involvement by Carol Vorderman is her picture on the front page - no sign of her in the credits! Those things said, Scratch 3 is pretty-much upwards-compatible with Scratch 2 and an initial look over the book (bought with a 10-year-old grandson in mind) suggests that it contains some very good 'starter' ideas so probably still just-about worth what I paid for it although I may need to get involved a little more than planned because of the need to 'migrate' to the Scratch 3 look-and-feel. I've rated 'moderate' difficulty because of the 2-3 issue - otherwise I'd have suggested, 'easy'.

Bought this for my kids to read as they use scratch at school. However, itโs not up to date and teaches about an older version of scratch so most activities canโt be programmed without using a browser version of scratch 2.0. Disappointing.

Does not work with Scratch!
This book was potentially brilliant but marred by the fact that several of the blocks simply do not exist on any current iteration of the Scratch programme, so not only could I not help my 10-year-old, I couldn't do it myself. Has anybody found a way round this?
