If protein powders had a VIP section, Bulk Protein would definitely be sitting there! 💪🥤 I've bought this protein many times before. Earlier, I used to order it directly from the Bulk website, but I found it here for a slightly better price—and it's the exact same authentic product with the same great taste and protein content. The mixing is absolutely top-notch—no annoying lumps, just a smooth shake every time. The taste is excellent, making it easy to stick to your daily protein goals. They've improved the flavour a lot and it blends nicely now. It's the cheapest option with good macros and flavour right now.

Thought I'd give you those details in the headline so you can gauge better what might work for you. My diet I have a breakfast of oats and fresh fruit and a lunch of Huel, usually. In between at about 10am, I have a protein shake and a cereal bar to stave off hunger and keep me going at work. I'm not trying to lose weight or anything, I just don't want to get fatter during lockdown as my opportunities for exercise are limited now my kids are not going to school. Previous products I sometimes snack on fruit and cereal bars, but I want avoid carbs and sugar. I also found that protein shakes leave me fuller for longer and stave off cravings better than grazing on anything else. I used to snack on nuts, but they are very more-ish and I'd end up eating loads! Before powdered shakes, I was paying £1 a day for Fuel protein shakes from Asda, but didn't like that this was nearly £30 a month. I figured buying in bulk would save money and the minor inconvenience would be worth it. The drink itself It's not as thick as Fuel or ready-made drinks, but then I make this with water, not milk, so that's probably why. I think this would be amazing with milk, like Nesquik from back in the day, but I don't buy milk so don't have it in the house. The flavour is basically Nesquik with water: it mixes up nicely in a shaker and I would say dissolves 99% of the powder. Every other powder I've used in the past is the same if you use a shaker and I can't be bothered to put this in the blender: that's used for Huel later on in the day and I'm not washing it twice! Minus one star I've knocked off a star for the packaging (it arrived in a plastic bag that was also filled with powder, so I thought the bag had burst, but it's likely that they don't take care packaging it). Also, it tends to froth up, so if I drink it quickly, I can get trapped wind. Final thoughts Cheap, quick and easy. Taste is good and it definitely leaves me not hungry or craving snacks. Recommended.
