This is the upgraded filter to the other CFF25 model. I've used both but use this one for every day use ( I keep the cheaper CFF25 to use for filling water storage containers during hurricane season). This filter works well and I often filter it again when I fill my water filter pitcher ( Waterdrop Elfin) to make sure it's extra pure. When changing filters, the instructions say to run 5 gallons through the system before using but I've found that even at 5 straight gallons some discoloration still occurs. So here's what I do: Turn on the filter and allow the charcoal debris to run clear. Then: I SLOWLY run 3 gallons ( 12 16oz jars) then wait at least 10 minutes and run another gallon ( 4 jars) and then wait another 10 mins or more and run the final gallon through the system. This usually clears the water but just beware that when the filter is brand new, it may take running it for a few seconds before filling your glass to clear the light tan color. It's not as if it's toxic- just doesn't always look crystal clear right after those first 5 gallons. Highly recommend these filters. NOTE: One time I received a filter that was difficult to clear and it had orange particulate matter in the water. I contacted the company directly and they immediately shipped out a new filter at no charge. They explained to me that sometimes during shipping, the filter material can get disturbed. I've only had this happen once but this company has excellent customer service.

I bought the counter top unit from the manufacturer last year when Amazon ran out. I now buy the replacement filters from Amazon—the Home Master CFF2E-F10 Jr Elite Water Replacement Filter. It filters everything I don’t want in my water, including the combination of Chloramine. The filter life is six months, and during that time the water comes out chemical free and great tasting. I stopped buying bottled water, as this filter gives the same quality as commercial filtered water (my opinion). For the money it’s a great value and has saved me hundreds of dollars now that I don’t need water delivered. I highly recommend it. For aquarium owners, it’s known Chloramine kills fish, so while this filter may produce water safe enough for use in aquariums, do check with the manufacturer to be sure before you use it for that purpose.

I've had this water system for about a year and it has worked great. Easy installation and the water definitely tastes cleaner. Where I live the tap water smells and tastes heavily chlorinated. In using the Home Master System to filter the water I can smell and taste the difference, no chlorine. Replacing the filter came with slight difficulty in that it took some effort to unscrew the cap from the bottom stand. However to me this means there is a good seal. I have never had any issue with leaks.

I had problems unscrewing the housing so I asked my son to help me. My son had no problem. This filter came with a new O ring. I followed the directions and put food grade silicone on the O ring. This time I tightened the housing just enough so there were no leaks as my son suggested. The end with the O ring goes on the bottom. I let the water run for about 5 minutes. The water tastes great, I could really taste the difference. I will definitely buy this water filter again. I wish the price was lower though.

I just replaced the Home Master TMJRFE Jr F2 Elite water filtration system with this CFF2E-10 Jr F2 replacement filter. Removing the housing from the base was too hard for me, I got a friend who had a wrench that fit the housing. It easy to replace the filter, just be sure that the housing is screwed in tight.

I purchased a Tap Master Jr. F2 Elite about 2 years ago because my tap water tasted awful after it was in my water bottle for any length of time. I had tried all of those units you hook to the end of the faucet and none of them really worked very well. A family member of mine got the entire reverse osmosis unit but I chose the F2 because it took up less room and was easier to install (I did it myself). It was time for a replacement filter and I found it right here on Amazon so ordered. The unit works like new and my water continues to be wonderful.

Before , I gave a 5 stars . I didn't know and was using this filter for a years . But , recently , I bought a drinking water tester :Hone Forest TDS , EC meter. I've tested water from Home master filter .... . The result is : 196 ! and shows a Red collor , not even blue , the best drinking water ( which I've tried from a different source , is Green ! So tester works perfectly) Test your self , try any diffirent drinking water tester and you will not gonna drink water from this Home Master filter ever again. Throwd this junk in a trash.

This is my second replacement of this filter and I have no issues with it. I noticed some people had complained as far as how different water tastes compared to the original. I have not noticed this much of a difference. The cartridge has 3 layers of filtration each of different volume. They may be mixed as bit but not so much that you can't visually identify each. When you first install it, you will need to run some water for good 5-7 minutes. I usually don't go by the suggested usage times, which normally would be around 6 months. It varies by how much water goes through the cartridge. For me, it is time to replace after around 3 months. I would notice that the water does not taste as good and even a bit off putting.

After lots of research I purchased the Homemaster Waterfilter. What a difference in the water quality and taste. We can only recommend this Product,

This cartridge does a great job of removing the chlorine that has been added to our city water (the lack of chloride taste speaks for itself). I haven't had our water analysed by a lab so as for the flouride that is added by our municipality, and other harmful components, I simply trust that these are being removed as much as possible (for such an affordable countertop system).

The best I have ever used. High volume output and amazing filtration. Water taste great too.

there is a strange metallic taste coming out of it... As great as this filter is (kinda like mini-reverse osmosis) level... It just isn't worth the value for my personal style. I live alone and simply use spring water instead, it is cheaper and better quality. I still recommend this product if you use tap water frequently.
