Love this product for my dogs!
My dogs are really tough on each other when they play - and grabbing each others ears is one of their favorite areas. But with below freezing temps, the scratches weren’t healing and they shook their heads a lot in the cold, sleet, and snow. This, along with the ear grabbing, continually reopened the wounds every time they went outside. I was so lucky to come across this product from another Rhodesian ridgeback owner that had similar issues. This prevented them from grabbing ears and reopening wounds and now the wounds are healed. Other suggestions on the web to bandage their ears or use a cone of shame would not work for these active dogs. The Velcro prevents them from taking it off (and they tried!). Worth every penny in my opinion for peace of mind and not having to clean up blood off fur, coats, blankets, and walls!

Fits great! Dog can't pull off! Supervision of course!
My pup had ear surgery for infection & the urgent care vet put one of their head wraps on my pup. I had ordered this wrap right after I brought pup home from vet. Just in case! The wrap that vet put on was almost identical to the blue no-flap head wrap but their(vet) hung way over her eyes & just didn't like how it fit her. Had to wash vets head wrap & I put this blue head wrap on & it fit so much better(I could see her eyes too!) Will definitely keep the new blue head wrap on her till recheck of incision & will use vets wrap as a spare. The blue wrap was constructed so much better & the stretch band for plastic bands is more effective. I would DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THIS WRAP FOR YOUR PUP! And it was cheaper than what the vet charged. Works great & she also is wearing a cone that slips right over the head wrap.

This wrap actually stays on
It took all of five minutes from receiving this to see why this one was worth the cost. I have a Great Dane who is prone to hematomas on the tips of her ears because she shakes her head so hard and we have tried multiple ear wraps to help her ears heal And within minutes of putting this one on I could understand why it was worth every penny. The structured back that goes along the back of the head keeps everything in place along with the cinching strap behind the ears to keep them from coming out to the back. She has yet to get this one off and also just seems more comfortable in it without it being so snug around her face as many, the other ear wraps are. Here’s to floppy healed ears.

Not the same as original. Flimsy fabric tears easily.
Product Not the same anymore. My dog is very susceptible to ear infections. About 1 1/2 years ago she had an aural hematoma that ended up requiring surgery. The No Flap ear wrap was key to her recovery. She wore it literally every day for months while we battled this mess. It is very worn but still usable. She now has another hematoma so I ordered a new one. She’s worn it for 5 days and it’s already tearing in several spots. The fabric is MUCH thinner and less structured. The fit is not the same either, her ear keeps sliding out. I think because the fabric is too flimsy. I am so disappointed and don’t know how we are going to get her through this. For now we’ve gone back to the old one. But don’t waste your money on this.

Easy to use
My golden had a hematoma drained last week so we ordered this to keep her from shaking it. She looks so adorable in it and it’s very easy to put on. She definitely prefers it to the cone of shame. It’s pricey, but was less expensive here than through our vet. Medium worked great for our 60 lb golden girl.

Beware of harsh material on sensitive ear
This product is a great idea, however if your dog has a large hematoma like mine did I would not recommend this. The material is too harsh for the sensitive ear. My dog ended up with a pressure sore. This was remedied by putting a softer material over her ear (I actually used and ankle sock to cover the ear) before putting on the wrap. But I wish the inside of the ear in the wrap had a softer cover to prevent this from happening. Maybe a fleece or soft cotton. Although I do understand I could have had a different experience than others. Overall, it definitely kept her from shaking her ears and the hematoma began to subside. Also, the other ear would sometimes flip inside the wrap and caused a sore on the inside. This could also be attributed to the way the wrap fit lopsided due to the other ear being so large as well as having to keep it on her 24/7. Again, an issue I believe would be resolve with a softer material on the inside instead of a seam. The jean type material was needed for my dog because of how hard she shakes but the journey with the wrap did not come without trial and error.

Effective but a bit expensive?
It does what it says it's supposed to do, and it's basically the only thing out there that actually can immobilize and protect a dog's ear. I do like that you can remove/cut the spines that run over the top of the dog's head to customize the fit a little. The velcro is sturdy, the extra velcro strap behind the dog's head adds an additional way to mould the hood to support the ear. The fabric is easily washable. However, at this price point ($54) I'd expect better stiching and that there was a bit more focus on smoothing out the 'dog sided' seams so it's be less irritating to the dog's skin. You can pad it to help it conform to the dog's head. The supportive plastic spines down the center of the hood eventually form to the shape of the dog's head, which isn't necessarily good for holding the ear in place-I guess I'd think this was 5-star at about $30.

spend the extra money and get this one. It actually works.
I don't normally take the time to write reviews, however I felt compelled to share my experience with this one given my experience. My dog had an injury on her ear which kept opening up due to her shaking her head and flapping her ears. Twice I avoided spending the exta money and elected to buy cheaper alternatives but they didn't stay on. I finally bit the bullet and this thing works great. My dog seemed more comfortable with it since you don't have to cinch it down super tight, just to get it to stay on. Most importanly it stayed on her head and allowed her ear to finally heal completetly.

Eccezionale. Il cane lo ha accettato quasi subito, al contrario di altri dispositivi, quali coni, o ciambelle e ci ha convissuto perfettamente per 2 mesi, senza alcun fastidio, o stress. Vivamente consigliato, vale ogni euro speso.

Very nice product! Works well! Used on a red nose pitbull who has an ear infection. She tried to take it off and it didn't work. She slept with it on and didn't seem to be bothered too much. I hope it'll help on the long term, but as of now it's better than the huge plastic cone.

The product is very good quality, I have a GSP who cut his ear out in the field. This product stops the dog from flapping it's ear which re-opens the slice/cut/split in his ear. The product 100% works, my dog could not get this off, he did try but gave up after awhile. It 100% stops the dog flapping it's ears, could not ask for a better product, as it's very practical and well made. I would 100% recommend this to anyone in a similar situation to me and my dog, this allowed us to avoid expensive vet bills and treat my dog at home, as we had a small surplus of pet antibiotics. He's now fully healed and back to enjoying life, thanks to the "No Flap Ear Wrap", honestly so happy with this product. If you need to stop your dog flapping it's ears, STOP shopping, just buy this product. One of the best features of this product is the dog can still live a fairly normal life whilst in recovery, meaning my dog could still play with his siblings and act like a normal dog; eating, drinking, relaxing, walks, runs. This seriously relieved the stress and anxiety which having an injured pet can cause.

Keeps grass seeds out of my dogs ears. And he doesn't mind wearing it. He knows he's going for a run alongside the motor bike. It's worn well. Faded after several years but still serviceable. Only wish I had one sooner
