Got this specifically to carry when I play with my R/C models. I was not expecting great things. This is a pretty compact tool. It's one of the only really small ones I know of that includes pliers, and DOESN'T include a blade. Not everyone needs a blade, and you certainly don't need one on a tool this small. When I first got it I was a little surprised at the weight, and decided it might be just a tad to heavy to carry all the time. Then I stuck it in my pocket and went about my business for a good 4 hours, completely forgetting that I had it. Just goes to show how you can overestimate the importance of little things. The tool is small enough to put into the coin pocket of your jeans. It folds and unfolds well when new, but I suspect when the hinges on the handles get worn it will become sloppy. Unlike my baby fold-open tool, the handles are flat so you can press hard without the handles cutting into your hands. But the handles are hinged so they might try to fold while you're using the tool. Informal tests show the handles are strong enough to take decent torque when using the screwdriver ends. It seems well made and I'm not worried about durability. I've decided to carry it for a while to see if I use it. But for $5, this is actually a pretty good tool and a pretty good deal. Why wouldn't you get one? Update: Used this a couple of times when pulling cables to the basement. Saved me 2 or 3 additional trips to the garage, which doesn't sound like much but after the job taking all day it was a blessing. The screwdriver was useful for removing sheet metal screws and the pliers for one slightly stubborn screw. (Note that sheet metal screws don't require much torque to remove, but more than you can get with just fingers.) The pliers were able to grip OK, so clamping is not really an issue. Re-opening them is a bit of a pain since the handles tend to fold on the opening movement, but they don't on the clamping movement. So this tool will do a comparable job to a similar-sized pair of ordinary pliers, just slower. It's a small tool, so you can't expect it to perform like large pliers, but you can get a pretty decent amount of force on the jaws.

I bought this to use during overseas travel to replace a (previously lost) Leatherman style PS. The Leatherman no longer seems to be in stock through standard outlets. It isn’t nearly as well made but I figure if I accidentally leave it in carry on luggage it may escape being confiscated and/or is not that expensive to lose. The lack of any blade or scissors also avoids issues with carrying a blade in some destinations if used for EDC (every day carry). The pliers are strong enough to assist with basic repairs for luggage etc. I can see the stamped pivots are not that strong and may need to be tapped back into shape if it becomes loose over time - replacing this with a stronger pivot would improve the value of the product. The Philips head screwdriver is reasonably well shaped and doesn’t damage screw heads of the correct size (better than some alternatives). So overall it is small, light and functional and hopefully a useful travel EDC solution.
