Pacific Coast Classic Dried Fruit Tray Gift with Almonds and Pistachios

Edit: the price on this item varies immensely, from ~$6 to $27. I paid $7.03 and base my ratings on the value for that price. I would not consider paying more than $10 for this, and at that price, it would be as a gift for someone who lives far away and would not want candy or baked sweets. 5 stars for the nuts and the tray, 4 for the fruit. Delivered 2/13, the package’s best by date is 4/20. There is a wooden tray with a 4 compartment plastic liner; the nuts are in cellophane packs, the fruit is laid out directly on the liner. The whole thing is shrink wrapped and in a printed sealed gift box. It looks nice on arrival. The nuts are incredible! The prunes are a little drier than I like and the dates have pits, but my real disappointment with the fruit is that there was only 1 peach and 2 pear (my favorite) halves; both fruit compartments are laid out over a layer of apple rings to fluff up the presentation. They are good dried apples but def the most boring item in the box. I plan to wash the liner and reuse the tray; it’s sanded, unfinished wood for the crafty types. I would def buy this again as a gift or for myself as a treat. Golden State: If there were a way to not use apples in place of pears and peaches, that would be awesome. Would also like if both the fruit and nuts came in resealable plastic bags or if some were included to keep unused portions fresh.

My “Go to Gift!!!” I have had the pleasure of sending practically everything made by “Oh Nuts”! Because I received the dried fruit and nut platter when I had knee surgery! I lived on this platter every day Bcs I was unable to prepare healthy food for myself in a leg brace and on crutches. I’m usually sending an “Oh Nuts” gift every month. The Nuts, fruits, BISCOTTI (off the hook!!), cookies ! Simply PERFECT! I have send assorted teas and biscotti for mother’s day with a dvd movie for Mom and fresh flowers! Dad had heart surgery and loved the fruit and nut platter HEALTHY FOOD WAS SO IMPORTANT! My personal trainer loved the Nuts and a copy of Arnold Schwarzenegger’s book! I’m a Fitness freak and a native New Yorker. High levels of freshness and QUALITY are paramount. The packaging, quality, and presentation is better than any I can purchase online or in a store to have shipped. I like to add another personal gift to send as a bundle. Coming from NYC, Italian bakeries are everywhere. The Biscotti has always been on my table for 3 o’clo Tea time with my family. These gourmet treats blow my guests away. So this is an adorable little spread, not in the way the items are laid out per say, but it is not too overwhelming. There is an unequal ratio of banana to other fruits, these are all really soft, a bit sugary. I purchased another one that came in a cute box this is not enclosed in a complete box, you can see the fruit and nut (bagged) array unless you wrap it or put it in a super fancy awesome gift bag. Great for a hosting event or for gifting to someone who hosts.

While I was ordering a dried fruit tray for my in-laws, I decided to get this for us. It was packaged very well, and I like the little ribbon and box it comes in. The dried fruit is really good, but the apricots and apples are really superior. The apricots are thick and moist and not too sweet. We like them so much, I'm ordering some bags of just those from Golden State Fruit. I'm looking forward to adding them to banana bread and my muesli. The apples are the favorites for my kids. The other dried fruit is really good too, but these two are our favorites. The pistachios are really yummy and meaty, and the almonds are really fresh and have just the right crunch. I also order cashews by the bags from Golden State Fruit, which are always quite good too. I've not been disappointed yet! I just wish they sold the apples in bags like they do with their other items.

I got this as a gift for others and was able to try some myself. It is packed in an attractive wooden tray with an inside dimension of 8 inches square. It was packed full with the fruit and nuts pictured. Nothing skimpy in filling it up. The fruit came wrapped so it stayed nice and moist and was not sticky or hard like some dried fruit can be. I liked the variety and selection. It made a great healthy snack alternative to most gift baskets. The free shipping the company offered clinched the deal and was another reason I selected this. Would gladly choose this again as a choice for me or others.

I was all excited when I saw this fruit and nut basket on the internet. I ordered it on Christmas for my father in law. I was all anxious to hear feedback from him and his wife in regards to this item. I was surprised that they didn't even call me to thank me or comment on the gift basket. I couldn't wait any longer so I asked my husband to call his dad and find out if they had received the item. He commented " oh yeah, we got the basket..Was it from you???" My husband asked him, "Did you like it?'' He commented "oh yeah, it was okay." I was alittle disappointed with his response and reaction. I expected more. So, I am rating the product as okay according to my father in law and that maybe it wasn't what I had expected it to be.
