Below is a picture of a sublimation project I did using this matte finish laminating pouch. Most of the crafters suggest using laminating pouches for getting sublimation art on wood, but several are disappointed with the glossy finish. As an experiment, I got this matte finish laminate and tried it on a very thin piece of basswood. (Tack it on for 15 seconds, cool, then do the sublimation.) This was using a Brother SP-1 printer. The text was included for sublimation just to see if it would come out clearly--it did (although there's a little distortion in the picture). I used a heat press at 380 F for 65 seconds and warm-peeled the sublimation paper. The color and clarity are excellent and the wood grain shows through nicely. Not sure if this water/weatherproof, but it really provided a very nice look on a piece of cheap, thin basswood.

Whoa! I searched for this not knowing it existed. I was in the middle of a project and thought of a solution in my mind that would require laminating part of the canvas I was working with. But for it to work, it would need to be matte. Sure enough I found this item and gave it a try. AMAZING! I have now used it on multiple projects and have become obsessed. I highly recommend trying this out even for just an experiment to see what creative ideas it may spark. I can see a use case scenario for business, artwork media, crafts, liturgical, archival, and so many more. It has no issues in my laminator, is not sticky, and is more durable than your average glossy product. It is completely functional, but in a more elegant matte sort of way. What an awesome discovery!

I use these to laminate my toy display backgrounds, and the matte finish means no glare from my lighting. This brand performs just as well as name brand. Over 50 laminations so far, and not a single jam or issue.
