Strips leaves and thorns
Purchased this tool to strip leaves and thorns from my rose cuttings. The tool strips leaves easily, thorns may take a pass or two. Need to hold the stem firmly up by the flower, as the action of pulling down the stem can cause the bud to break off or the stem to break.

Sturdy
I am just starting out in the flower business, so there was a small learning curve to knowing how much pressure to use with this tool, which really did not take a long time. It is sturdy, and removed most of the thorns from the roses and most of the leaves from eucalyptus, but worked very well on everything else I have tried so far. My only complaint with it, is after several hours, it was not so comfortable to use, as the edges are all hard, angular metal. It also gums up with certain kinds of stems, which causes it to not open back up, and I had to manually open the tool, and then stop and rewash it. Of my two complaints, the comfort would be my wish to fix. Curving the edges, or adding just a bit of padding for minimal cost, would make a florist day.

NOT SHARP ENOUGH
The ridges of the part of the tool that are supposed to scrape off. The thorns is thick and dull. It may remove tiny, lightweight, small thorns, but not the big kahunas on my roses.

Disappointing
Didn’t work. Broke the stems or just took off leaves but left thorns on stem. Disappointing

Difficult to Use
I did not like this product at all. It is hard to use and does not do the job. You are better off using your hand!
