I guess it should be smaller because the parts are separately and disassembled.** A: I have no idea what size the shipping box exactly is, but it is smaller than the actual grill. The handles are wobbly that raise the charcoal plates up....they are firmly screwed in so it's not human error. The lid is securely screwed in place and can move slightly side to side.
