Great toy that needs refinement of the design
The toy launcher itself feels sturdy, it's like something made by a reputable company, with few sharp burrs and unfinished edges. The foam discs are very soft and won't damage anything. When it works, the discs fly maybe 2 rooms worth of distance, it's plenty to keep some cats entertained. They don't care about how accurate your shooting is, they just want to see something fast they can chase. And yes, I said "when it works". The problem is the toy jams way too much so you have to fish out all the discs in the chamber and reload. It's a simple, easy to operate mechanism, you just pull the trigger and it automatically launches a disc, but despite that it's not reliable. You can mitigate the jams a little by shooting slowly and keeping the launcher perfectly level, but they'll still happen. I wonder if using stiffer foam discs would help.Another annoying thing is how loud the hard plastic SNAP! sound is when it launches a disc. If you have skittish cats they may not like this toy.

Gun jams occasionally
Overall great toy for cats to chase and play with around the house. Make sure you get the full size version as the smaller ones jam way too much!

Won’t hurt young children or pets
Great indoor or outdoor toy. Since the discs are all foam, it’s much safer than a nerf gun for younger children.

Better than the cheap multipack brands
I think because it offered more than one disk shooter that I figured I was gonna get a better deal. But in fact I was four times disappointed versus the once had I only got one. I promise you, It is worth the few extra dollars to get this brand)I use mine, with my cats, not kids. I imagine with kids, they're equally disappointed when they jam up. This toy will lesson the chances of that happening

Hoped for the best but not good
Previous reviews were mixed so I was hoping my experience would be 5 stars. Not the case. I ordered 14 of these to have for our family Christmas get together. Our adult kids and parents love to play a game when we get together. Everyone was given a gun and extra disks in a tool pouch. If you get “hit” 3 times you’re out. Well, it would have been great if the guns would have shot with any kind of consistency but unfortunately they didn’t. The disks get lodged and it won’t shoot. Also, when you go to reload the disks they are hard to load without going in crooked. So then they won’t shoot. Overall a poor experience. Would definitely pay more for a Nerf gun next time so I know they will shoot and everyone will have a great time.

The issues with this item are endless and crippling...
This design of this toy is exactly like one I used to use as a kid and being a young adult I sometimes buy little toys to fool around with for good memories. This was not the toy I used as a kid though and It was good for about 5 minutes of entertainment. The issues with this item are endless and crippling to its main purpose. The dics do not load easily and do not stay in place unless you hold the gun perfectly vertically. If you turn it to the side or move around at all they will dislodge and not shoot. When the disc does happen to shoot it will rarely shoot straight and distance is a real problem. I was not even able to annoy my wife buy shooting her only a few feet away.. which is always a bummer! It is cheap chinese plastic that will not last more than a few uses, though it will be thrown away far before that.Overall a cheap toy that should be avoided. If you are looking to get a toy gun for your son or someone young at heart I would stick with a nerf gun!

Fun dart toy!
I had a battery operated dart toy when I was younger (it quit working ages ago.) Happily, this one is battery-LESS, so literally just aim and pull the switch! The darts are very light and disc-shaped, so it's nigh on impossible to damage anything indoors. On the flip side, it sometimes misfires due to the spring-catch no grabbing a disc, and it won't fire vertically (just horizontally.)
