Hubsan H122D X4 Storm Professional 5.8G FPV Racing Drone 720P Camera RC Quadcopter with LCD Video Monitor and HV002 Goggles

I received my new drone quickly from the seller. After ordering I received it in about 36 hours. The box was very well packed and everything was in perfect working order. In the box I received the drone, transmitter, battery, goggles, LCD monitor,charger, 2 sets of props, and the manual. After reading through the manual I was up and flying within 15 minutes. The drone hovers very well without having to fight hard to keep it in place. I have flown it both with the LCD in the transmitter and while wearing goggles. I really liked the feel and impressiveness of FPV flying with the goggles. It made me feel like I was sitting in the cock pit of a real plane. This drone has some cool features: -Flips & Rolls: You do not need to know how to do flips and rolls since it has a button built into the stick. If you press the stick and then move forward, it does a forward flip. If you press the button and then over to the side, it does a roll. This is a nice feature if you are new to flying and are learning the sticks and over all drone behavior. -720P High Definition Camera (photo and video): It has a 720p camera which is better than needed on a racing drone. The camera is also movable so you can direct the angle you wish to shoot the video and photos at. The quality of the videos are way better than I anticipated. The photos it takes also impressed me. I posted some on my blog and the guys loved them. -HS001 LCD Monitor: With the monitor I can see what the drone sees as I fly. When snapped into the transmitter I can have both visual line of sight with the added ability to glance down at the LCD to see what I am recording. -HV002 Goggle: This package included the goggles. I am glad I bought the goggle package. You can snap the included LCD monitor into the goggles and put the goggles on your head. This allows you to feel like you are in the drivers seat while you fly. I can see what the camera is seeing from the drone. I spent 2 days flying like this alone and I think its my new favorite way to fly. -Flight time: I was able to fly anywhere between 6 and 8 minutes depending on how I was flying. If I fly hard its around 6-7 minutes. If I take it easy and go for a gentle flight I can get 8 minutes or just over. The battery is held in place with a Velcro strap for a snug fit. -Charging time: It takes about an hour to charge the battery between flights so I recommend buying additional batteries from the seller when you buy the drone package. -Build quality: I am highly impressed with the quality of everything. The drone can be crashed over and over and it will still fly. I let my son fly the drone and he crashed 5-6 times and nothing broke. We just up righted it and took off for another flight! The frame is very rigid and does not break. The props are solid and I have not broken any of those either. There is a canopy that covers the top to protect the camera and other electronics inside. The antenna is movable and can be adjusted based on your flight habits. Overall I am highly impressed with the design of this drone by Hubsan. It is fun to fly and can be flown by both new and existing pilots. The LCD screen and goggles add a whole new level of fun that is hard to beat. Its fast enough to give an adrenaline rush but not too fast that you feel like you are out of control. I have recommended this drone to several friends and 2 have ordered so we can have some drone races at the park. I can't wait to race. This drone has a nice camera, super smooth Nd fast. I had no problems with it until I flew it a second time... it pairs up like it should but the motors will no longer take off properly. It's as if something is not co necting properly anymore, unfortunately I'm not the only one this has happened to and I found at least 4 other people who had the same exact problem with this drone. I would like my money refunded so I can buy a different drone through Amazon. Betafpv has better reviews...

I bought this quadcopter to use with a middle school technology class that I teach. The quad copter was broken from the beginning. When we tried to fly it it kept on flipping over. Eventually we discovered that one of the motors was getting stuck. I was looking for a solid little drone that could be used to train some beginner students but this did not live up to my expectations.

This little puppy is sure squirrely! This is not a mavic and will not hold station. You need to be in control the whole time you fly or it will get away from you fast.

This review is for the Hubsan H122D pro bundle that includes goggles, camera/telemetry viewing screen, remote, drone and drone battery and spare parts. It is a complete rtf (ready to fly) package. The only thing you will need are four AAA batteries for the remote control. The camera viewing screen has a built in rechargeable battery and comes with a micro usb cable and the drone uses a 710mah battery that is included and comes with a proprietary charger. Setup was quick and easy out of the box with minimal effort needed to pair the drone, remote and viewing screen together. Once I read the directions I was up and running in only a few minutes. The build quality of this drone seems very good. I don’t have any other racing drones to compare this model to but the frame appears to be carbon fiber and it looks as though replacing parts is somewhat easy because almost everything is exposed to keep the drone fast and light. Keep in mind this drone is small, I can hold it easily in one hand with my palm flat. It is definitely not micro/nano drone size but smaller than the DJI Spark for comparison. The only drawback of a drone this size is that it does not handle wind very well. On one of my flights I attemped to fly it with wind speeds of 8mph and gusts of 14mph and gave up quickly for fear of loosing control of it. Once in the air however this drone is really fun to fly. It is very snappy and responsive with 2 speeds available fast and very fast. While this is an entry level race drone I don’t think it is a entry level drone. If you are totally new to drone flying, I would start with something slower and advance to this. If you are already familiar with the less expensive more toy like drones and want to step up to something really fun and quick this is the way to go. You can also do auto flips which is a really fun feature and easy to accomplish with a button press. Also depending on what you are looking for there are a couple of other things to keep in mind. It does not have built in gps for auto landing or stability control. It is meant to strictly be flown within line of sight. I believe it has a 100m range. The 720p camera is fine for use while flying and ok for pictures but if you are expecting to use this for lots of pictures and video, I would consider something geared more for those purposes. Lastly, the viewing screen that in this bundle works well for this price range. It can but clipped into the remote or inserted into the googles for a first person view experience. Depending on where you are flying and the interference around you, you will get periodic static in the screen. This is not deal breaker by any means in this price bracket. All I all I think it is a great value kit that includes a lot for the money.

Works excellently battery life Could last a little longer But enough time to enjoy it I bought for battery so 2nd mode is a little crazy harder to control for some reason it doesn't seem like its balance like mode one But otherwise yes this is an awesome product I'm having fun with it Excellent Product but I would not buy it for beginners it is too high quality feeling and performers for it to be ruined of right away takes time to get used to it

Loved this thing for the first 20 flights but now it cant even fly over a foot off the ground. Even with a new battery and full throttle it only gets a few inches off the ground.

I charged the battery and monitor first thing, but when I plugged the battery into the quad I got nothing, no lights and no sound I try two more batteries and still nothings,
