This supplement is great for women and everyone over the age of 30 should be taking it. It helps with so much when it comes to hormone balance. The taste is pretty rough, but there’s nothing that the company can do about that lol. I did put this in my tea every morning, but when I went to replenish the product, I decided to go with capsules instead, so it’s easier to take.

I am really digging this schisandra extract powder! It's fresh, potent, and easy to mix into shakes and smoothies (it has a mild sweet/tart flavor), or to encapsulate like I do. I made an amazing adaptogenic herbal supplement (in chlorophyll capsules) that reduces stress and anxiety while improving mood, motivation and energy. This schisandra extract is one of the instrumental ingredients, along with rhodiola, ashwagandha and holy basil. It's been incredibly effective and helpful, and I would absolutely recommend this product to others. I now have an increased sense of purpose, well-being and focus. About Shisandra/shizandra Berry: It is known for tasting simultaneously sweet, salty, bitter, sour and pungent. The berry's multifaceted flavor makes it a balancing tonic herb. It can be used to increase energy, vitality, cognition, mood and libido. It can also help you get a good night's rest with vivid and pleasant dreams. The berry benefits the liver, kidneys and digestion. It increases liver detoxification, as well as protect and heal it. Shisandra is excellent for your immune function and can do wonders in blends and formulas when you feel run down, or have illnesses like mono, cancer, fibromyalgia or M.E./C.F.S. The berry also helps balance hormone levels... but there are possible warnings to be aware of. It could be inappropriate to use in cases of acute ulcer, reflux or gastritis. It could also possibly affect drug metabolism. Overall, this is a wonderful natural product that I would purchase again!

Great digestion after use

Seriously, when I say something tastes bad, it tastes REALLY BAD. Do NOT put this stuff in your coffee, if you like the taste of coffee. I did it and just had to pour it out, it's disgusting. I then tried to just put a scoop of the powder in my mouth and wash it down with water. So NOT do that either. It has a sort of pungent almost spicy smell that make me sneeze and half the scoop of powder wound up all over my kitchen island, lol. The best way for me is pour about half a cup of cold Almond milk in a glass and vigorously stir the scoop in for a few minutes until you get something that looks like chocolate milk. It's not that bad, this is the only way I can take it. And I take stuff that tastes bad all of the time without a thought or bother. Also take powders, like 5 grams of L-Citrulline and Glutamine, just toss and wash, no problem. And I put 2 large scoops of Collagen powder in my coffee every morning, doesn't change the taste of the coffee at all. But I cannot stand the taste of this stuff, it is horrible! The effects, I am not sure of yet, still experimenting, but it seems to have somewhat of a calming and aphrodisiac like effects.

Awesome product!! Very fine powder and blends well with my shakes ,coffee and yogurts. Highly recommend this for anyone who is looking for the health benefits of Goji berries especially when it comes to eye health. I put a teaspoon of Goji powder in my smoothies or in my yogurt daily. I have noticed a difference in my energy and skin. Based upon everything I read indicates that these berries are good for immunity, longevity and sexual function. I bought powder instead of dry or actual berries due to the versatility of use. Love the bright orange color the powder I received. It has nice sealed and durable bag. I will buy again.

I saw some other reviewers claiming that this has a mild taste compared to regular schisandra berry products, so I decided to give it a try. Honestly, although it's slightly milder it is still unbearable and has a sharp bitter, salty taste. It's slightly different than regular schisandra berries, but still a difficult thing to consume unless you can mask the taste with something like a smoothie or something very sweet (perhaps fruit juice or honey). This is probably a good quality product, but be ready to deal with what you're getting. I'd recommend first trying a small, cheap sample of the actual dried berries (or the tea called omija-cha) if you want to have an idea of what to expect.

pleasant to the taste

I am writing this because my Chiropractor did applied kinesiology and my body responded to Shizandra. He sold me an expensive bottle of Medi Herb brand liquid 1:2 . I didn’t feel any real affect from it and it lasted a long time. When I ran out I shopped here on Amazon and read reviews from a few brands and decided on this one. I am sure glad I did !!! I immediately got a sense of (very) well being. I feel almost euphoric. I felt so good I took too much and felt my brain detoxing. So now I watch my dosage carefully. It doesn’t make sense to me how this affects me so much better than the expensive medi-herb brand but it does and I hope it works for you too. Please keep offering this product.
